Panchayat Season 2 Trailer: Jitendra Kumar Faces Hilarious New Challenges in Phulera

Panchayat Season 2 trailer left fans more excited for this season than ever. The comedy-drama series is created by The Viral Fever for Amazon Prime Video, with a script from Chandan Kumar. Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, the cast for this web series includes the much-loved Jeetu Bhaiya from Kota Factory, Jitendra Kumar alongside Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Biswapati Sarkar and Chandan Roy. The first season of the series was a massive success and, the buzz around the second one looks like it will too!

The premise for the first season showed us the experiences of Abhishek Tripathi, a city boy who gets a low salary job in a remote village called Phulera after completing his graduation. According to the Panchayat Season 2 trailer, we are going to follow our main character as he continues his life in Phulera but, not without some frustrations, weird obstacles and, loving friends who turn into family.

The trailer description for the show reads: “Panchayat is a comedy-drama, which captures the journey of an engineering graduate Abhishek, who for lack of a better job option joins as secretary of a panchayat office in a remote village of Uttar Pradesh. Stuck between crazy villagers & a difficult village lifestyle Abhishek starts his job with the sole motivation of getting out of there as soon as possible, for which he even prepares for CAT.”

“Growing up within the limits of a small town myself, I could relate to the dilemmas and hesitance of Abhishek right from day one, though he had a bigger challenge of transitioning into the rural life,” actor Jitendra Kumar says, “This resonance somewhere helped me to get into the skin of the character and reprise him better.

“As a character, the constant oscillation of wanting to make it big but also standing in solidarity with the villagers is what makes Abhishek so relatable and unabashedly real. Into the second season, he is much more levelheaded and at peace with himself as he steers through the concerns in Phulera. It was an amazing experience to work with such a talented cast and I am looking forward to the global premiere of Panchayat S2 on Prime Video.”
