Oscars 2021 Nominations: From Chadwick Boseman To The White Tiger, Full List Out

Oscars 2021: March has paved the way for Moira Rose’s (and our’s) favourite season – Award Season! After the indefinite delay, The Academy has finally made an official announcement about their nominations for 2021. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas together revealed the nominations of the 93rd Annual Academy Awards. Chopra has a reason to celebrate as her Netflix film The White Tiger has received a nomination.

In the list of nominations that PeeCee and Nick revealed today, Netflix film MANK has the highest number – 10. This year, The Academy also created history by nominating two women directors – Chloé Zhao and Emerald Fennell. Late actor Chadwick Boseman, who passed away last year, is nominated for his stupendous act in the Netflix film, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. The actor earlier won in the Best Actor category at Golden Globes 2021 and Critics Choice Awards.

The Academy Awards 2021 Nominations In Other Important Categories –

Usually, The Academy Awards take place in the month of February. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, things got delayed. The award ceremony will take place on April 25, 2021. The venue booked for the prestigious award show is the Dolby Theatre and Los Angeles’ railway hub, Union Station.

Meanwhile, Over The Moon director, Glen Keane couldn’t keep calm as his animated film got nominated for The Academy. He tweeted, “What a dream come true for Over the Moon to be recognized by the Academy today! Forever indebted to our screenwriter and late friend Audrey Wells, for entrusting us with this love letter to her daughter. A huge thank you to the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences!” Similarly, the excitement was shown by Emerald Fennell who wrote, “FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU“.

Jon Batiste, one of the music composers of Disney-Pixar movie Soul tweeted, “What a blessed morning! We are incredibly grateful to be considered for the Academy Award for Best Original Score for @pixarsoul! My first Oscar nomination!! This was a profoundly rewarding creative collaboration filled with so much love, light and lineage. Go team go Black heartRaising hands“.

Two Distant Strangers Travon Free Short Film Director also tweeted, “Holy hell @TwoDistantFilm is nominated for an Oscar!!!!! #JustAKidFromCompton#TwoDistantStrangers“.
