Olivia Rodrigo On Winning 3 MTV VMAs Awards: “I’m the Luckiest Girl Alive”

The MTV Video Music Awards in 2021 witnessed a plethora of excellent musical talents. The award function was held in front of a live audience in Brooklyn. Among many amazing winners, singer Olivia Rodrigo is one of them. The singer rose to fame with Disney Channel show Bizaardvark and Nini Salazar-Roberts and Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

In the past one year, singer Rodrigo has released many soul-stirring songs like Drivers License, Good 4 U, Traitor, Deja Vu, etc. At the MTV VMAs 2021, the singer won three awards – Best New Artist, Song of The Year (Drivers License) and Push Performance of the Year.

The singer’s fans immediately took to social media to congratulate the talented singer. Olivia also performed on Good 4 U at the award function, an emotionally driven song from her album Sour. During her performance, the singer broke the camera lens at the end of her act. Her performance had everything – disco balls, metallic balloons, floating butterflies and lights that match the track’s mood.

Now, Olivia has taken to her Instagram page to share her thoughts on winning the awards. The singer wrote, “my first vmas!!!! what an incredible night. thank u so much to all of u guys for making this happen. I’m the luckiest gal alive 💜🤘🏼”.

In the reply section of her Instagram post, fans have congratulated her. “SO WELL DESERVED”, commented one person. Another wrote, “SO PROUD OF YOU 🥺😭”. Some even cracked the microphone steal joke (Kanye West-Taylor Swift incident) and wrote, “good thing no one ran to the stage and stole your microphone!!”
