Today, it marks 15 years since the film was released. On 15 Years of Namastey London, we give you a few reasons why the Akshay-Katrina starrer will always be one of the best made Hindi films.

3 Reasons that Make Namastey London an Exceptional Watch

  1. The Storyline

One of the major reasons why Namastey London turned out to be a hit was because of its storyline. The story imparts a very message of how we have westernised ourselves to the extent of forgetting our own roots. The movie was successful in subtly adding the patriotic touch, which worked really well with the audience. Although the movie was released some 15 years ago, the storyline is still relevant in the current times. Other than that, the story is also an example of a classic Bollywood romance story. It has drama, an emotional roller coaster and a happy ending, attributes which cater to the Indian audience pretty well.

  1. Star Cast and Performances

Another reason you should be watching this movie is because of the star cast. Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s pairing created wonders and was very well received by the audience. Their chemistry seemed extremely organic and real which actually entertained the audience. Late actor, Rishi Kapoor’s performance was one of the biggest takeaways from the film. His comic timing and acting skills are unmatchable. The overall performance of the cast really added to the success of the movie. Be it Katrina Kaif’s arrogance or Akshay’s simplicity, you are going to love it all!

  1. Dialogues and Music

Dialogues are very important for every movie. Namastay London does not disappoint us either. There are some iconic moments in the movie which won the hearts of millions of Indians. One such scene had to be Akshay Kumar’s patriotic monologue during Jasmeet and Charles’ engagement when he’s belittled by Charles’ Uncle. That dialogue did wonders. The music of the movie also does a wonderful job. Especially songs like Main Jahan Rahoon and Rafta Rafta continue to be a hit among fans even a decade later.
