My Liberation Notes (나의 해방일지) is a Korean drama series directed by Kim Suk-yoon and stars Kim Ji-won, Lee Min-ki, Son Suk-ku and Lee El, alongside other cast members. The series has 16 episodes. My Liberation Notes Episode 9 has a runtime of 64 minutes.

In My Liberation Notes Episode 9, Gu finally gets caught by the person he was running away from. The person spots him on the road while Gu was on his way back to Sanpo. During their conversation, we hear a shocking story about Gu’s past. Gu’s ex-girlfriend had died before he came to Sanpo and the person looking for him is her brother who thinks Gu Ja-hyeong is the reason she died.

Gi-jeong has been rejected by Tae-hun but she doesn’t feel ashamed as she thought she would. After going home, she receives messages from Tae-hun where he asks about her injured hand and also sends a long message expressing his true feelings. He says that he felt good every time they talked and it is valid that Gi-jeong felt that way about him. He hopes that their relationship won’t end here which relieves Gi-jeong. She had not met such a gentleman before.

Chang-hee is still frustrated about Jeong A-reum, his senior who makes him angry. He hopes that either of them should get promoted so that he will get rid of her. His friends give him a fact-check that he hates her only because she is rich and Chang-hee is also greedy like her. Chang-hee doesn’t like that his friend called him greedy but he agrees that he will hate A-reum less if he becomes rich.

Mi-jeong notices a change in Gu’s mood and asks him to speak if he wants to. He tells her about a story where suicide survivors said that after jumping off a cliff when they crossed 2/3rd of the path, they felt that reason for their suicide was worthless. He had told this story to his ex-girlfriend to convince her to get therapy but she committed suicide instead. Gu laughs and says it was frustrating to see her act like a lunatic and he gives Mi-jeong a chance to stop worshipping if she wants to.
My Liberation Notes Episode 9 Ending
Mi-jeong has been feeling more confident lately. She has been speaking anything that is on her mind without holding it back. She has started feeling that she can be loved too. She even tells her parents that she is dating Gu, to which Gu replies what if he leaves. Mi-jeong is happy at the moment and that’s what matters to her.
In My Liberation Notes Episode 9, We get a glimpse of how Gu ended up in Sanpo. He was asleep while riding on a train and he got out at the Dang-mi station accidentally when a woman screamed to get out. He forgot his phone on the train but got a taxi to the station he was supposed to go to. However, he found his ex-girlfriend’s brother waiting for him with a bunch of goons. He sneaked out of there and made Sanpo his hideout.
My Liberation Notes Episode 9 Review
In My Liberation Notes Episode 9, Gu and Mi-jeong have gotten more comfortable and used to each other. However, Gu’s past looks like it is going to cause trouble in their relationship. Gu is filled with grief and regret but hides it and pushes people away. Gi-jeong and Tae-hun look like they will make a good couple only if Tae-hun opens up his heart. The conversations Chang-hee and Gi-jeong have with themselves have a healing property in them.
