My Hero Academia Season 6 Has Officially Been Announced

The next instalment in the beloved Shonen anime series, My Hero Academia Season 6, has officially been announced today, and the production has already started. Read on for more details!

The final episode of Season 5 of My Hero Academia aired today. As soon as the episode went off-screen, “My Hero Academia will be back” appeared in front of everyone who decided to stay after the credits. Not long after, My Hero Academia’s official Twitter account confirmed that the production of a new season of the anime was already underway.

The creators also released a short trailer about the season, which can be watched on the official TOHO anime Youtube channel. The trailer depicts the upcoming battle between Tomura Shigaraki and Izuku Midoriya, as the events of Season 5 directly lead towards the events of My Hero Academia Season 6. The previous season spent most of its time building towards a Season 6, and people will be able to watch it soon enough.

As for the My Hero Academia Season 6 release date, we’re all going to have to wait a little longer for that. According to the official blog post announcing the arrival of Season 6, Studio Bones will reveal details regarding the release date and airing schedule “at a later date”. Generally, My Hero Academia seasons take approximately 15 months between each season. As such, we can expect My Hero Academia Season 6 release date to be sometime in 2023 at the earliest.

Viewers can expect to see the much-anticipated battle between the Hero Course students and the Paranormal Liberation Front headed by the successor to the season’s primary antagonist, All for One. The battle between good and evil will be represented by the successors of the two primary superpowers of the show, All for One and One For All. The main protagonist, Izuku Midoriya, is the successor to the former #1 Hero, All might, and carries the quirk One for All.
