Murder Mystery 2 Trailer: Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston Are Out to Save the Maharajah

It’s been four years since the bone-tickling detective duo first banded together to solve a new case and they’re coming to town in Murder Mystery 2 to save the Maharajah’s life. Netflix had earlier teased a collective list of this year’s movie premieres which promised the return of the comical partners Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. On January 20, 2023, the full-length trailer has finally shed more light on the upcoming film’s visuals, with the two back in (unlikely) action.

Directed by Jeremy Garelick, the action-comedy mystery also stars Mark Strong, Mélanie Laurent, Jodie Turner-Smith, Kuhoo Verma, with John Kani, and Dany Boon, and is slated for its premiere on the streaming platform in March. The official log-line of the upcoming comedy flick reads, “Now private detectives launching their own agency, Nick and Audrey Spitz land at the centre of an international investigation when a friend is abducted”.

When the actors last collaborated for the former instalment of the series, they came across top-rated contacts by chance and the same sense of unlikely acts of fortune result in them befriending the Maharajah, played by Adeel Akhtar. The illustrious personality is kidnapped on the day of his wedding at a private island, to which the Spitzes are also invited. As can be expected, the two kick their investigation into motion which pits the grand famed list of guests at the event as their suspects.

Aniston and Sandler have previously paired up for the 2011 romantic comedy, Just Go With It as well, and have reigned supreme as the most sought-after partnering duo for this genre of movies. Their onscreen camaraderie is a clear winner, and has always left the fans with an exciting fun ride to laugh along.

This high-grade case can be their ticket to their dreamland, Paris, and also their chance to finally achieve their goal of establishing their detective agency at the top dog in the game. Watch the detective couple consolidate their reputation (which clearly precedes them) with this new case as Ariana Grande, Jessie J, and Nicki Minaj’s Bang Bang sets the mood in the background in this humorously raging trailer for the movie.
