Money Heist Korea – Joint Economic Area (종이의 집: 공동경제구역) is a Korean adaptation of the immensely popular Netflix series La Casa De Papel or better known as Money Heist. The first season was released on June 24, 2022, consisting of 6 episodes with a run time of about 63-78 minutes. The Korean series follows the plot of the original Spanish show, but with the idea of the united territory of the Korean peninsula.
The series shares the united North and South Koreas, along with the effects it will have on the people accompanied by a new place for corruption. The cast includes Yoo Ji-tae who plays the mastermind character Professor, Park Hae-soo as Berlin, Jeon Jong-seo as Tokyo, Lee Won-jong as Moscow, Kim Ji-hoon as Denver, Jang Yoon-ju as Nairobi, Lee Hyun-woo as Rio, Kim Ji-hun as Helsinki, and Lee Kyu-ho as Oslo, alongside others.

Money Heist Korea Ending Explained
As season 1 of Money Heist Korea wraps up, we get a glimpse of new challenges that are to come along with the good news of seeing the end of the tunnel. While the Professor succeeds in destroying important evidence for the police, another piece of evidence has made its way to detective Seon Woo-jin. On the other hand, the heisters inside the Mint see streams of good news coming their way. First, they succeed in tricking the police once again and have started to get on the good side of the public. Then later, Moscow shows them mud that he has succeeded in digging while Nairobi tells them that the printing will finish in the next three days.
The season also shows us a glimpse of the Professor’s past which has picked up our attention and may be the beginning of unveiling the real reason why the Professor planned this heist. His involvement in the unification of the two territories may be the cause for bigger troubles in the new world which is something to look forward to.
We also see the new beginnings for many characters as well as a possible ending for some (*cough* Berlin *cough*). However, we also see better coordination among the heisters which was missing at the beginning. This can be good news with the problems that they are going to face next. However, detective Cha Mu-hyeok is starting to get suspicious of the Professor’s identity and goes ahead to meet him. This can lead to bad news for the professor, along with the fact that Seon Woo-jin has gotten an important piece of evidence in her hand which can unveil their real intentions.

Will There Be Money Heist Korea Season 2?
The heist is not yet over which means that there will be a season 2! Season 1 has got us curious about a lot of things, especially the past of the professor and his involvement with the reunification. There’s also the question of how the relationship between the Professor and Seon Woo-jin develops? Will the show really follow the original version or will it brings new twists of its own?
There is a lot that needs to be revealed and season 2 is where we can get our answers. Another one of the bigger questions is how will this heist affect the new unification of the two Koreas as the tension between the people is still high. Will this heist break this newly unified Korea or will it show a new direction of development which is in favour of the people? This idea of a unified Korean peninsula is what makes it different from the original version and we can’t help but ask for more.
