The synopsis reads, “A pressure test where Chocolate Queen Kirsten Tibballs presents her intricate dessert. The dish that least replicates the dessert will send its maker home.”

MasterChef Australia Season 14 Episode 52 Recap Contains Spoilers

Kirsten’s dish is an intricate dessert called ‘Cherry On Top cake’. The cake looks simple from the outside but has many layers and flavours within. Julie, Billie and Mindy taste the cake and are mind blown by its delicious taste. The ladies have to make the same Cherry on the Top cake in 3 hours and 15 minutes. The contestant with the least impressive dish will be sent home.

Billie, Julie, and Mindy are excited and nervous to cook the dish. They decided to bring in sisterhood in today’s challenge and encourage each other to do their best. It’s a long and complicated cook. Everyone wants to give their best and stay in the competition.

Billie and Julie face some issues while making the cake. Mindy struggles more with the layers but keeps going on. After 3 hours and 15 minutes, the judges and Kirsten taste the cake made by each cook. The judges loved Billie’s cake as it had all the right flavours.

Julie’s cake is also good and looks beautiful. Sadly, Mindy’s cake not only looks messy, but the layers are thick. After tasting all the 3 cakes, the judges decided that Mindy made the least impressive dish. Hence, she gets eliminated from MasterChef Australia Season 14.

After her elimination from MasterChef Australia, Mindy took to her social media. She shared, “No need to be sad. No need for regrets. The only call is for celebrations. Despite the fact it is a ‘competition’ @masterchefau was an experience of self, of vulnerability and of connection. And that is worth celebrating.”

She added, “Despite the chaos and challenge Masterchef thrust upon us- we all chose to live our best life. We chose to get into the arena, put ourselves ‘out there’, get out of our comfort zone, test our creativity and resilience and be the best version of ourselves we could possibly be in the face of judgement and competition.”

In her post, Mindy talked about sisterhood with Julie and Billie. She wrote, “Connected through our love of food, the sisterhood was powerful. Despite what was on the line, our place in the competition at not one point did we consider putting ourselves ‘above’ or ‘against’ each other for the win.”
