MasterChef Australia Season 14 Episode 28 is called ‘Werribee Mansion Service Challenge’. Judges Andy Allen, Melissa Leong and Jock Zonfrillo, take the contestants to the Werribee Mansion for a Service Challenge. The contestants are divided into 3 teams – Yellow, Pink and Orange. Each team has to make an entree and a main course using the budget ingredients from the pantry.
The Yellow team consists of Billy, Aldo, Tommy, Steph and Harry. The Orange team includes Julie, Ali, Matt, Mindy and Michael. The Pink team consists of Keyma, Daniel, Alwin, Montana and Sarah. The cooks get two and a half hours and have to cook for 60 diners.

The Yellow Team struggles a bit to get their entree right. They make some last-minute changes to their entree dish. Their entree dish was Whitebait with Middle Eastern Flavours. The judges were not happy with the sliced grapes placed on the plate. Their main dish was Slow-cooked Lamb, Swede and Lamb Jus. The judges were pleased with their main dish.
The Pink team’s entree dish was a Trio of Beetroot. The judges were not happy with the dish. Their main dish was Braised Beef with Pickled Turnip. Even their main dish didn’t impress the judges.
The entree served by the Orange team was Mussels, and the main dish was Chicken Ballotine. Judges loved both their dishes. In the end, the Orange team won the round and got a chance to take part in the immunity challenge in the next episode.
MasterChef Australia Season 14 Episode 28 Recap: Final Thoughts
The service challenge wasn’t quite spectacular. It seemed like they were struggling to put up something good using the simple ingredients. It’s quite shocking considering they are home cooks. It would be interesting to see who wins the immunity in the next episode.
