Mask Girl Trailer: Korean Thriller About a Menacing Unknown Face Committing Deadly Crimes

Today, Netflix dropping the Mask Girl Trailer has left us with a lot of curiosity. The Korean thriller focuses on a woman with 3 different identities. So far, it is known that actors Ko Hyun-jung and Nana will portray two identities. But the makers have kept the third female actor a secret as it’s someone new.

As seen in the trailer of Mask Girl, Kim Mo-mi is fed up with regular office-girl life and unhappy with her appearance. Things go so wrong that she becomes Prisoner Number 1047. Once she takes the wrong path, there’s no stopping. We see a girl with a fancy with an eerie mask luring men via video calls. One of them is Mo-Mi’s co-worker Ju Oh-nam, played by Ahn Jae-hong.

Regarding the premise, the trailer doesn’t give away much. But the shots of the girl in the mask, the mysterious tone and the cast are enough to build interest. It would be exciting to see what goes so wrong that there are multiple murders. The trailer description reads, “An office worker who is insecure about her looks becomes a masked internet personality by night — until a chain of ill-fated events overtakes her life.”

The Korean show also stars Yeom Hye-ran as Kim Kyung-ja, as a mission man’s mother. As mentioned by Netflix, Kyung-ja is adamant to find out what happened to her son, how he went missing and bringing him to justice. She shared in a statement, “I hoped that Kim Kyung-Ja’s revenge would not be motivated only by her motherhood. I wanted to include various complex conflicts originating from her age, religion, and other beliefs, and I had many discussions about these conflicts, which arise as she rushes towards a large and clear goal called revenge.”
