Marvel’s Loki Series: Tom Hiddleston Fans Share Memes of Excitement

If you are a Marvel fan, I know that you are counting hours until you can catch up with Loki on Disney+ Hotstar. After smashing WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series, the expectations from MCU are high. To add more, everyone’s favourite Tom Hiddleston will be playing God of Mischief after two years.

Marvel’s Loki series will trace what happens to the 2012 God of Mischief who escaped with the tesseract in New York during the time heist in Avengers: Endgame. He has no clue about Odin’s demise, Hela and how he has ended his animosity with brother Thor (Chris Hemsworth). The makers have teased us by stating that the show will cover many aspects of Hiddleston’s character and his future in MCU.

Early reviews of the MCU show are out as some Hollywood websites got screeners of the first two episodes. The critics are highly praising the show and Hiddleston’s performance in it. The Direct’s critic Jack McBryan wrote, “I don’t really know where to start praising #Loki, so I’ll just say it’s IMO the strongest opening for a Disney+ show to date, the writing and directing are on another level. Shoutout to @iamkateherron, @michaelwaldron and @twhiddleston for continuing to push the bar in the MCU.”

Thanks to these early reviews, fans can’t keep calm anymore. Hiddlestors are excited to see their favourite actor back in action as the God of Mischief, where the attention will be entirely on him. On Twitter, many fans have shared memes and tweets expressing their curiosity.

The character’s sexuality has always been a big question in the MCU. Recently, the makers shared a small promo in which they confirmed that he is gender-fluid. On a document, under the sex section, the makers have mentioned the word ‘fluid’. This revelation stays true to the comics and Norse Mythology.

Meanwhile, in interaction with TV Insider, Tom Hiddleston talked about getting a solo series from Marvel. The Avengers: Infinity War actor said that the Loki people would see in the Disney+ Hotstar show is confused and destabilised. He still hasn’t been on the arc of redemption and catharsis. Hence, he is confused in the show when the TVA apprehends him. The actor said, “He’s been apprehended and is being taken from Stark Tower towards Central Park. But as you see in Avengers: Endgame, the Avengers from [2023] have gone back in time to 2012 to change things around.”

The MCU series is directed by Kate Herron, who wrote the series alongside Michael Waldron. Along with Hiddleston, the series also stars Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Richard E. Grant, Wunmi Mosaku and Sasha Lane. The series will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from June 9, and a new episode will release every Wednesday.
