Love Is Blind Japan Trailer: An Unconventional Social Experiment For a Lover’s Heart

With the Love Is Blind Japan trailer out, we can finally move our Bachelor Season 26 obsession to someplace else. Netflix is back with its Kinetic Content series and, this time it is set in the land of the rising sun! This dating reality television franchise was created by Chris Coelen and first aired in 2020. It ran for two more seasons and, the first extension of the show came with its Brazilian adaption.

Love Is Blind Japan trailer suggests that the new adaptation will not be very different from the original format of the show. Providing a rather unconventional approach to modern dating or speed dating, this reality show will really test if love is ever blind at all or, if we need to really know the person we plan to spend our lives with.

As per the trailer, we can see that this social experiment’s first step would be to put our contestants in isolated pods, separated by gender. These soundproof pods are where our singles will be doing their first half of dating, without being able to see each other and only relying on each other’s voices and conversational skills. Phones and all other materials of distraction are taken away and, the participants are seen to be handling a notebook to essentially jot down the things they find important and relevant in their partners.

After a significant amount of time, if both parties are willing to pursue their relationship, the individuals finally meet and are engaged and sent to a honeymoon-like vacation. Post this period, if the couple aims to stay together they get on with the real world introducing their respective halves to their families and friends. All of this ends in a wedding and, that is when the final test call comes- if they are willing to get married or not.
