Little Women (작은 아씨들) is a Korean mystery thriller drama that revolves around the predicament faced by three sisters. The story follows their journey after they find themselves in the midst of a major incident that changes their lives forever. Directed by Kim Hee-won and written by Jung Seo-kyung, the drama stars Kim Go-eun, Nam Ji-hyun, Park Ji-hoo, Wo Ha-joon, alongside other cast members.
The 12 episodes show premiered on September 3, 2022, and releases new episodes every Saturday and Sunday at 9 PM KST on tvN taking over the timeslot previously occupied by Alchemy of Souls. Little Women episode 4 has a run time of 67 minutes.
Netflix’s synopsis of the series reads:

Little Women episode 4 starts off with Jae-sang revealing to In-hye the sacrifice he had to make years back when she asks him the question. He tells her that it was his father’s death that eventually brought him to this place.
Elsewhere, the sisters’ aunt Oh Hye-suk takes In-ju to the apartment that will be sold off to her with respect to her request for an apartment. On the other hand, Hyo-rin follows In-hye to her house.
The scenes of the new apartment and her house shift in comparison during this time which shows us the life they have and what they can soon get. Later, In-ju calls In-kyung to tell her about the apartment but the latter is not happy with what her sister is doing.

Using the embezzled money does not sit right with her conscience and threatens In-ju with cutting off their relationship. Following this conversation, In-kyung meets the nurse whom she had seen in the footage and asks her about the incident.
The nurse clearly remembers the incident as she was unable to forget the chilling vibes that Jae-sang had given when talking to the victim. She also tells In-kyung that the man was holding a blue flower when he was found dead and must have been given to him by Jae-sang.
She then goes back to Jong-ho’s place as the two once again try to find out more about this blue orchid that is also known as the Orchid of Death. Elsewhere, Sang-a takes In-hye to a secret room in the house which has a beautiful tree right in the middle with the same blue orchids blooming on it.
Marvelled by the sight, In-hye asks her about the beautiful flowers which are then revealed to be a rare breed of orchids which are illegal to be imported due to their rarity and poisonous qualities. She then picks up one of the orchids and gives it to In-hye who smells it; telling her that it is now her flower, before placing it back on the tree.
She then requests In-hye to sketch her portrait which will be kept a secret between the two. However, while sketching the portrait, In-hye suddenly starts to sweat as she gets pale and short of breath before fainting in front of Sang-a.
During these symptoms, the scene shifts between them and In-kyung who is talking about the nature of this flower that causes hallucinations. She also reads that the locals believed it to be a flower that can help communicate with spirits of the dead as In-hye hears the voice of a little girl telling her to run.

Next, we see In-ju rushing to the hospital where the doctors tell her that In-hye has a hereditary heart disorder which will require surgery as soon as possible. She finds out that her dead sister had the same condition and is now determined to use the money for her sister, even if In-kyung is against it.
On the other hand, Do-il tells Jae-sang’s secretary Go Soo-im to stay away from In-ju as she is required in order to find the 70 billion won. The two then proceed to meet Jae-sang who is happy to see his current approval rating for the upcoming elections. She tells him that he now needs a heart-touching story to increase this ranking in the list.
Sang-a then enters the room and informs them about In-hye disease which creates ideas in their heads while Do-il overhears everything and is worried about what In-ju will do. He soon tells In-ju to stay away from the money but she ignores him and rushes to collect the money for the surgery.
However, she is caught by secretary Soo-im and is taken away along with the cash to a secluded place. The cash is being counted there but In-ju is desperate and tries to convince her to get some cash for the surgery. But secretary Soo-im scoffs at her and calls her foolish for not knowing that this is their money and not something taken from her.

But In-ju’s desperation also intrigues her as she strikes a deal that she will hit In-ju 10 times which will be able to earn her the 100 million won that she needs. In-ju agrees and the violence begins.
However, after a few punches she gets hold of a wooden stick but right before she strikes, Do-il stops her. In-ju is desperate and asks her to keep going but with the arrival of Sang-a everything comes to a stop and she takes In-ju to the same restaurant she had visited with Hwa-young.
There she lets her know that Hwa-young was a friend of hers and offers her to work as her secretary. In-ju isn’t ready to believe her but the need of the moment has her accept the job. Suddenly, she gets a call from In-kyung who tells her that In-hye has had another attack and needs to get surgery right now.
Little Women Episode 4 Ending
Little Women episode 4 ends with In-ju rushing to the hospital and walking In-hye to the operation theatre. During the surgery, In-hye once again gets the vision of running on the street while a voice warns her to run or else she will be killed. She later questions her mother on a video call which lets In-ju and In-kyung know that their mother had told her about their sister.

They also realise that the reason why she isn’t coming back is because of another debt of their father’s which infuriates them into blocking her. Upon walking back to In-hye’s room they see an ongoing interview with Jae-sang’s family present in the room.
In-kyung wants to cause havoc again but In-ju stops her and later reveals that they are paying for her surgery because she has lost all the money. In-kyung is not happy about this and calls her aunt Hye-suk for help. Upon arrival, Hye-suk tells Jae-sang that she knew his father which shocks the couple who hid their expressions well.
Later, In-hye tells her sisters that she will be going off to Hyo-rin’s house after getting discharged so that she can prepare herself for Boston. She also tells them that she can’t learn the things that Sang-a can teach her from them which is another reason why she must leave.
The sisters can’t help but think about their youngest later, and In-ju tells In-kyung about the ledger that is in her hands. In-kyung is excited about the dirty information she can find against Jae-sang but In-ju stops her to let her know that it will be used to get money for them.
In the evening, In-ju and Do-il meet and the latter tells her that Hwa-young had transferred the 70 billion won into different accounts which are all under her name. He also tells her about the In-ju who exists in Singapore; revealing that this was the name Hwa-young used to lead her double life.
In-ju is shocked by all this and plans to head to Singapore.

Little Women Episode 4 Review
This episode was simply breathtaking. From the blue orchid tree to the words “How high do you think someone from rock bottom can rise up to?” that were spoken by Jae-sang have revealed a lot today. The information we’ve gotten today will take a while longer to process in our minds but we are left content.
As the puzzle pieces are slowly being put together, the show continues to get better and better which is really giving us the vibes that we’ve wanted. This weekend has absolutely filled us with immense pleasure with the intensity of the show that has left the viewers happy.
The story behind the blue orchid was really pleasing and I can’t help but get those Wakanda vibes from the flower that can help communicate with the spirits. And we can see that In-hye is able to connect with her dead sister many times in this episode.
Finally, Hwa-young is a beautiful mastermind who hardly appears in the show but just her name is enough to change the direction of the winds blowing in this show.
Altogether, Little Women has given us another wonderful episode with depths that will take a lot longer to reach and we are definitely loving the show.
