Light the Wild Episode 2 Recap
Light the Wild episode 2 starts with everyone sitting in their campers and waking up on day 2 of the camping trip. While some are trying to get their bodies ready for the day, others are sitting around and chatting with their roommates. As everyone gets ready to have breakfast, thinking that it’s going to be a relaxing time, they realise that they will have to prepare their own breakfast according to what they chose the other night for others already waiting at the breakfast area.
It’s absolutely chaos, and the look on everyone’s faces is enough to make anyone laugh. However, it’s a nice bonding moment for everyone involved, although Cheryl, being the only one with a burger order, finds it hardest to get her task done. However, when things finally get wrapped up, they are all left satisfied with their tasks and enjoy making their own breakfasts as well.

After breakfast, everyone sits down for some tea and hilariously starts discussing mixing alcohol with it. However, in the end, everyone agrees that it’s too early for alcohol and just settles for tea instead. Soon after, the letterbox starts calling again, and they are told to find ingredients and cook their own lunches. Of course, everyone is scared whether it’s going to be a repetition of last night’s difficult tea-cooking challenge.
However, this time around, the group has to pick fresh ingredients from a vegetable garden. It’s another interesting challenge for them, and although they have people guiding them, it’s still challenging for people who haven’t done something like this before. After practising making their own food twice, the team is ready to cook lunch, and things are done quite easily this time around. Hilariously, Cammy, on garlic duty, finds it extremely hard to peel them while everyone else is on their way to finishing the cooking.

After a hearty and fulfilling lunch, everyone enjoys a bike ride as it rains. It’s entertaining watching these people compete with each other and then feel a little tensed as it gets dark; all the while, Rhydian continues sneezing, thanks to his allergies! When they get back to the campsite, it’s time to rest their sore legs and enjoy a drink together while trading stories about parties they have gone to together and how much everyone drank.
As they are chatting, the fresh ingredients are delivered to them for their dinner. Ready to take on this challenge, this time around, everyone is given their speciality that they have to make. Most of them start right away, while others try to push their cooking duties off to someone else. In between the cooking, Ruby calls her child, and that conversation also ends up being quite entertaining, wherein she asks her whether she is being forced to cook for everyone.
Ruby continues to cook while talking to her daughter, and hilariously, Cammy tells Rhydian that his being chosen for the fancy dinner last night was a lucky turn of events, unaware that Rhydian was specifically chosen by Ruby and Cheryl. The cooking session turns out to be a fun moment for everyone as Ruby tries to convince her child to go to sleep, and the others try to finish the cooking as soon as possible.

In the end, Tiger joins them for a piece of that juicy steak, and everyone joins a tasty hand-cooked meal. It’s Rhydian’s last day at the camp and everyone discusses their best times together on the sets of Light the Night, including totally ganging up on Rhydian and telling him that they all hated his character on the show, Chiang Han. Regardless, it’s still a fun time together, and the episode ends with everyone thanking each other for two fun-filled days.
Light the Wild Episode 2 Review
One more laid-back episode wherein you can take your sweet time to learn about everyone, and they get the time to have fun and freely speak to each other without another task being shoved down their throats. It’s really fun to watch, especially if you need a little pick-me-up in a slump.

There are a ton of fun conversations and interesting dynamics. I also enjoyed the fact that the show focuses on one type of task per episode instead of too many things happening in tandem. It keeps everything contained while also having space for fun and entertainment.
However, international viewers will, as usual, find it difficult to follow the edited comments on-screen because a lot of it is not translated. Although the editing is quite funny, you do tend to miss out on a lot of the humour.
Light the Wild is streaming on Netflix.
