Kartik Aaryan Lost 2 More Films After Dostana 2?

It looks like time isn’t going well for Kartik Aaryan. A few weeks ago, reports went viral that the Pyaar Ka Punchama actor was removed from Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions’ Dostana 2. While many entertainment portals stated that Aaryan was dismissed due to his unprofessional behaviour, the production house didn’t openly comment about it. All they said was, “Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain a dignified silence, we will be recasting Dostana 2.”

Everyone expected Kartik Aaryan to react about being ousted from Dostana 2. But on his social media pages, the actor has shared random pics and videos but no comments on reports of unprofessionalism. If that shock wasn’t enough for his fans, another news came out that the actor lost Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment’s Goodbye Freddie (tentative title) too.

Goodbye Freddie also stars Katrina Kaif, and Ajay Bahl will helm it. As reported by Film Information, Kartik Aaryan demanded changes in the script that the production house was not ready to make. Another report by Times of India states that the actor had reservations about working with Kaif as he thought she would look older alongside him. Hence, he lost the project. But there is no confirmation regarding the same from the actor or Red Chillies Entertainment.

There’s also a third reason out for Kartik Aaryan not being a part of Goodbye Freddie. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Kartik Aaryan had signed on with Red Chillies over two years ago. Recently Kartik shot for Dhamaka during the pandemic, which was a thriller. Post shooting for Dhamaka, Kartik informed Red Chillies that he felt that doing another thriller so quickly would not be apt for his career. He requested to opt-out and his request was considered. The parting was amicable between Kartik and Red Chillies.”

Today, Hindustan Times has reported another big news of Aaryan losing one more film. The article mentions that Aanand L Rai has apparently replaced the Pati Patni Aur Woh actor with Ayushmann Khurrana in his untitled gangster drama. A source informed the daily, “Kartik was in advanced level talks with Aanand, and had read the script and heard the narration, too. But, before he could sign on the dotted line, things fell apart.”

“The fact that Karan dropped Kartik seems to have influenced others. So, this could be the third instance where Kartik maybe losing out on getting to work with an established filmmaker like Aanand,” added the source.

But Aanand L Rai’s production house Colour Yellow has something else to say. In a statement, they revealed, “These are baseless rumours. We’ve met Kartik for a different film and we are still talking. We have taken another film altogether to Ayushmann and this is a complete mix up.”

It seems like many speculations are surrounding Kartik Aaryan’s films and Bollywood career currently. However, all this mess will be cleared only if the actor speaks up and shares the truth. After the news of not being a part of Goodbye Freddie, the actor had shared a throwback video with fans. It had an interesting caption about he would forever keep working to be loved by them.
