Johnny Depp-Amber Heard’s Relationship Gets a Documentary?

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s relationship has made headlines time and again. Well, it is time to give the duo its documentary! The documentary series is picked up by Discovery+ and will show the two-year marriage followed by the legal battles in Depp and Heard’s relationship. The Pirates of the Carrabian star and the Aquaman actress are going to get a breakdown of their relationship through this documentary.

The new docu-series to come is titled ‘Johnny vs Amber’. It will tell the story of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s relationship breakdown from each of their viewpoints in a two-part documentary, reports

The celebrity court case of the decade will first introduce Depp’s side, how he felt he was married to a “Machiavellian liar” who would stop at nothing to protect her image, before Heard’s episode explains how the actress married the man of her dreams only to see him turn into a “violent drug-fuelled monster”. It will also feature interviews with lawyers on both sides along with people close to the pair and extensive archive and audio footage.

Nick Hornby and Fran Baker are executives producing for UK Crazy Delicious producer Optomen, with Matt Reid for Discovery. Hornby said: “Through the tapes, home videos and text messages are shown in court, these films give viewers a rare and important insight into a marriage that went tragically wrong, and to better understand the hugely important issue of domestic violence.”

Clare Laycock, senior VP for planning and insights and head of entertainment at Discovery, noted: “The series provides an in-depth insight into the epic battle that powered #JusticeforJohnnyDepp and #IStandWithYouAmberHeard fan campaigns and the very public High Court case that gripped us all”

The documentary will have two parts but the release date is not out yet!
