It is Day 8 of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s trial. Depp filed a $50 million defamation trial against Heard over her op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post in 2018. In the article, she described herself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse.” On the eighth day, Johnny gave his testimony again to the court.
As a final question, Depp’s lawyer asked him his answer to Amber Heard’s statements in one of the audios. In the audio, the Aquaman actor says, “Tell the world Johnny, tell them ‘I, Johnny Depp, a man, I’m a victim too of domestic violence.” To this, Depp said, “I said Yes. I am.”
Johnny’s answer in the court has made people support him more on social media. Many people shared their reactions on Twitter with the hashtag #JusticeforJohnnyDepp. One person tweeted, “What did you say in response when Miss Heard said, “tell the world, Johnny. Tell them, Johnny Depp, I Johnny Depp, a man, I’m a victim too of domestic violence…”
I said yes, I am. ♥️
Tell the world, Johnny. We believe you.”
Another person wrote, “Concluding statement from JD.
‘Tell the world, Johnny, tell them… I Johnny Depp, a man, I’m a victim too of domestic violence… and see how many people believe or side with you’
Johnny: Yes I am.
Well done Johnny for the courage to tell your story. #JusticeForJohhnyDepp”
“This recording makes me weep — for Johnny, for the abused men that I work with & hear from & those that I know are out there; & for all of us who’ve been trying to raise awareness about abuse of men by women,” tweeted another user.
