Jayeshbhai Jordaar Trailer: Ranveer Singh, Boman Irani Butt Heads in Entertaining Trailer

The Jayeshbhai Jordaar trailer is finally out and it promises to be a hilarious and meaningful ride from start to finish! Written and directed by Divyang Thakkar and starring Ranveer Singh, Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Jia Vaidya in lead roles, the movie is produced by Maneesh Sharma with music by dynamic duo Vishal and Shekhar. The film is slated to release on 13 May 2022, in theatres.

From the house of Yash Raj Films, the film is set in a small village where Irani plays the role of the village head with not-so-great ideals. His son, played by Singh, seems to be quite passive and afraid of his father and what he stands for. The twist in the tale is as old as time, his family wants him and his wife, played by Shalini Pandey, to have a son since, you know, who is going to be the village head after him? It certainly can’t be the daughter that they already have!

Of course, there’s a lot of drama and chasing around. The movie promises to bring forth the struggles that women have to face in society even in the 21st century, how people perceive the birth of a girl child and how there’s a lack of basic biological education in the common people’s lives. Jayesh, however, seems more in tune with women’s rights and although he lacks a bit of a backbone at first, the trailer hints that throughout the runtime of the movie, the audience will see some great changes in him.

The trailer also promises that the movie will be a mix of serious social commentary and funny moments from Singh. Let’s hope the mix of both turns out to be a deliciously funny ride that reaches the masses well. The trailer is accompanied by an everyday term that people are used to using, Jai Mata Di, but in this case, the term has a very different (and illegal) implication!
