The Clearing Episode 3 Ending Explained: The latest episode of Hulu’s psychological thriller miniseries is titled ‘Suffer the Little Children’ which is directed by Gracie Otto and has a runtime of 48 minutes.
It is created by Elise McCredie and Matt Cameron and is based on In the Clearing by J. P. Pomare. The screenplay is adapted from the book by Elise McCredie, Matt Cameron and Osamah Sami. Jeffrey Walker and Gracie Otto serve as the directors for the thriller. The producer for this series is Jude Troy and the executive producers are McCredie, Cameron and Walker with Richard Finlayson and Elizabeth Bradley. There are a total of eight episodes with the first three episodes out now.
The main cast for the series includes Teresa Palmer, Miranda Otto, Guy Pearce and Julia Savage. It also features Hazem Shammas, Kate Mulvany, Xavier Samuel, Anna Lise Phillips, Mark Coles Smith, Harry Greenwood, Erroll Shand, Doris Younane, Claudia Karvan, Miah Madden, Gary Sweet, Alicia Gardiner, Matt Okine, Jeremy Blewitt, Lily La Torre, Ras-Samuel Welda’abzgi, Berlin Lu and Kristof Kaczmarek.

The Clearing Episode 3 Ending Explained
In the past timeline, we discover that the black marsh is raided. Although Matriah gets a heads-up, it becomes a little too late for our protagonist in some aspects. Fed up by her life in The Kindred, Amy runs away as the raid proceeds to take place. She tries to run away from the police as she does not know any better and hurts herself.
When she recovers, she finds herself in the hospital. She is asked questions about the cult but, before anything fruitful can happen, we see Colin come in and distract the conversation. Colin is the person of interest who actually gave Matriah the heads-up about the raid. We find out the children are, in fact, rescued. However, on a closer look, it is everyone except for Sara that is present in the rescue lot. Matriah manages to escape this raid. At the end of The Clearing Episode 3, she is seen taking a flight to leave the place altogether.
In the present timeline, we meet Matriah again. A red van pulls in front of her house and, Anton, her dearest who she thanked in the last episode for all he has done, greets her warmly.
There is something more that is brought to light in the present timeline, which is Freya’s kid before having Billy- a daughter named Max. Towards the end of the episode, we see that Max is the one who is driving the white van making Freya paranoid. It is because she wants to know why Freya left her and find some answers that she deserves.
