House of the Dragon Teaser: Stand By, As the Targaryens Take Over

The ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel ‘House of the Dragon’ is a much-anticipated series from HBO. The audience has been contemplating a long time now about the release and content of this upcoming HBO original. With the first look of the show flooding all over the internet, it was a delightful surprise when HBO Max unveiled the teaser at its European launch event.

The prequel is set 200 years before the events of ‘Game of Thrones’, clearly hinting how this particular series will be dominated by the House Targaryen ruling Westeros. With the colour palette that is reminiscent of GoT, the prequel’s teaser was unveiled with a release date on it!

House of the Dragon Teaser Looks Promising

HBO Max describes the show in the YouTube description with words that only GoT fans will be familiar with in regards to the trailer’s context: “Gods. Kings. Fire. Blood.”

The platinum blonde hair that ironically belongs to the House Targaryen is flaunted throughout the teaser with visuals of a king holding his sword, the Hand of the King brooch being adjusted by someone and a series of dual taking place.

The upcoming HBO original is going to be based on ‘Fire & Blood’, a 2018 novel by George R.R. Martin. The film will cover the civil war that is famously called ‘Dance of the Dragons’ that lead to the House’s ultimate fall until Daenerys Targaryen came into the picture.

The teaser also shows us the brilliant Iron Throne that has been through history the cause of all battles, envy and desire throughout Westeros.

The clip ends with a voiceover from Matt Smith’s Prince Daemon Targaryen saying, “Gods, kings, fire and blood. Dreams didn’t make us kings — dragons did.” Soon after the symbol for House Targaryen bursts into the fire.
