Hiccups and Hookups Trailer: Lara Dutta-Prateik Babbar Tease an Unfiltered Family Drama

Lara Dutta is back on screen with ‘Hiccups and Hookups’! The actress we last saw playing Indira Gandhi in Ranjit M Tewari’s 2021 film ‘Bell Bottom’ is all set to make her debut in a web show. Alongside her, we have Prateik Babbar, who we might remember from the acclaimed film ‘Dhobi Ghat’ and, the new, young face Shinnova. The trio makes for a hilarious, raunchy and unfiltered family drama.

The trailer for ‘Hiccups and Hookups’ introduces us to Lara Dutta’s character Vasu, who is a single mom trying to fit into this fast catch world of dating. Her brother, Akhil is played Prateik Babbar and her daughter is played by Shinnova who help her and infuriate her as she makes through the entire process of “casual dating”. The film is directed by Kunal Kohli and offers us the chaotic picture of every other modern family.

The trailer is relatable and hilarious as it is sentimental at times, promising us an entertainer that will suit the temperament of the 21st century. We can see fluttering love, the anxiety of being single and exploring one’s sexuality and sexual relationships through the course of the trailer which will surely be the elaborate ground the film is going to be based on. Watching Lara Dutta lead her awkward dysfunctional family is a great take away and there is so much more in play for the characters when the film releases that it leaves us anticipating.
