After rigging us for four weeks with four episodes, the season finale of The Idol is almost here. The series created by the music world icon- The Weeknd, Reza Fahim, and Euphoria’s Sam Levinson has been the talk of the town for a while now. The drama is directed by Levinson under the production company banners of The Reasonable Bunch, Manic Phase, Little Lamb, People Pleaser, Bron, A24 and HBO Entertainment.
The cast for the series includes Lily-Rose Depp as Jocelyn and Abel Tesfaye aka The Weeknd as Tedros, in major roles. The show features a considerable support cast that includes Suzanna Son as Chloe, Troye Sivan as Xander, Jennie Ruby Jane as Dyanne, Moses Sumney as Izaak, Jane Adams as Nikki Katz, Dan Levy as Jocelyn’s publicist, Eli Roth as Andrew Finkelstein, Rachel Sennott as Leia, Hari Nef as Talia, Da’Vine Joy Randolph as Destiny, Hank Azaria as Chaim, Melanie Liburd as Jenna, Kate Lyn Sheil as Amy alongside Tunde Adebimpe, Elizabeth Berkley, Nico Hiraga, Anne Heche, Maya Eshet, Tyson Ritter, Liz Caribel Sierra, Karl Glusman, Sophie Mudd, Charly Summer, Mitch Modes and more.
In its short time, The Idol has climbed the ladder high enough to become one of the most scandalous shows ever with characters that will make your skin crawl. If you are wondering who those characters are, here is a list of the worst characters in The Idol that are responsible for letting the show down.
Worst Characters in The Idol Who’ll Make Your Skin Crawl
1. The Weeknd as Tedros
It should be no shocker that one of the makers and the leads of the show is at the top of the list. Tedors’ character is downright awful. It is a character whose dialogues seem to be written by a middle school child with a hairstyle that even a kindergartener would disapprove of and a personality that is the culmination of all the red flags ever. The problem isn’t even his sadomasochistic choices because we live in a world that is open to this idea and is slowly coming to terms with it but, the way it is portrayed in the most blunt and manipulative manner.

The cherry on the top is The Weeknd really trying to make this character villainous and terrifying but, all we can think of when Tedros comes on screen is to gouge our eyes out so we do not have to witness his horrifying scenes (where acting goes for a toss out of the window).
2. Lily-Rose Depp as Jocelyn aka Joss
The star of the show in every sense, yet you can only ever hate Jocelyn. Trust me, it starts off in a different way because if anything, for the longest time our sweet Joss seems silly and directionless. You feel pity for her and there is a sense of sympathy. The dependent side of her personality comes out and shines when Tedros is around. But after The Idol Episode 4, we can positively sit on the thought that Jocelyn has played us all (including Tedros).
Turns out the lamb is not the lamb after all and has a certain sadistic darkness in her that is disturbing. The way Jocelyn’s character has changed over the last episode, one can only imagine her being the mastermind of all that is happening or going to happen to her.
3. Jane Adams as Nikki Katz
Out of all Jocelyn’s team members, it is Nikki who sticks out in the first go. Right from episode one, we know that the record label executive is here to ruffle some feathers and be honest and real about things. But, soon enough, Nikki just becomes a character that is unnecessarily cruel. She ditches Joss’ remix of World Class Sinner with Tedros in a really disrespectful manner which is followed by her being extremely negative towards Jocelyn throughout the second episode.
It does not stop because Nikki is here for business and when she notices Dyanne, she shifts her focus. Out of all her team members, Nikki does not really care about Joss as much as she cares about making money and, that is good for her but, really puts her on the list of negative people in the show.
4. Troye Sivan as Xander
This might be a shocking addition to this list but after The Idol Episode 4, we can say that Xander has been keeping a lot of things, dark things, in him and surely it is difficult for us to trust him. Although he is Joss’ childhood friend, unlike Leia, he does not really want Joss to be anything or succeed in any manner, all of which unfolds in the last episode. In fact, when Joss was being tortured by her mother, he kept quiet (the reason or excuse as to why he did so is irrelevant because it was child abuse!).
