Harry Potter Hogwarts Tournament of Houses Episode 3: An Iconic Wildcard Round
With Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw securing their respective positions in the final showdown, we have the brave hearts of Gryffindor and the cunning minds of Slytherin left to compete. No Potterhead is unknown to the rivalry that exists between these two houses, one of the famous ones being that between Draco and Harry that has given rise to numerous subplots and character arcs in the film franchise. In this episode, the world witnesses a final winner.
The do-or-die wild game hosts the same contestants from the previous rounds to represent their houses. Team Gryffindor is made up of Sofia, Trey and Brittany whereas Slytherin’s panel has Guilia, Michelle and Ryan to represent the House. The format of the show is the same with there being four qualifying rounds for the team to move to the finals. The rounds include The World of Harry Potter, The Dueling Club, The Department of Magical Games and The Golden Snitch. Along with our participants, their other housemates from the gallery also take part in increasing their overall score.
The Harry Potter movie stars again return to the screens to pose a question during The Dueling Club round. The boy who could also possibly have been ‘The Chosen One’ according to the prophecy made, Matthew Lewis who plays Neville Longbottom in the films asks his question. Meanwhile to represent House Slytherin in the game, the man himself- Tom Felton who played Draco Malfoy in the films appears.
During The Department of Magical Games, the theme of the night is revealed to be Dark Arts which can turn out to be both an advantage but also a disadvantage for our teams as it is by far the most notorious, ‘cursed’ teaching position in the film franchise. By choosing ‘Accio’, Gryffindors even summon the actual Lost Diadem of Ravenclaw while answering a question in this round. With some strategic moves here and there, we find out soon enough how one team really moves ahead in the game.
Before the results are revealed, we have The Last Word as the next round where the Gryffindor and Slytherin representatives from the gallery play for a good 50 point question to help their houses move ahead in the game. The question is posed by the Tony Award-winning comedic actor Dan Fogler, fans might remember his adorable role as Jacob Kowalski in The Fantastic Beasts film series.
