Arijit Singh is one of the most popular and best singers in the Indian film industry. The National Award-winning singer turns 35 today. Singh has crooned songs in Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, and other languages. The singer made his debut as a Hindi singer in 2011 with Murder 2 song ‘Phir Mohabbat’. But in 2013, he got recognition for his singing in Aashiqui 2 movie starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor.

From 2013 till now, Arijit’s singing career has shown enormous growth. The singer has worked as a playback singer in movies starring Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Ayushmann Khurrana and many others. Music composers usually give him romantic and sorrowful melodies. But the singer has crooned some cheerful party numbers too. Singh completed a decade as a singer in the Bollywood film industry.

In 2020, Arijit started his independent channel called Oriyon Music. The first song Singh released was Rihaa which means free. Pagglait Album

In 2021, Arijit debuted as a music composer with the Netflix film, Pagglait. The album has many songs and several instrumentals. Listening to the album felt like knowing the singer’s side, which wasn’t truly explored. Singh is a big fan of AR Rahman. If you listen to the album carefully, you’ll feel like the songs are composed by Rahman.

As I mentioned above, Arijit is a big AR Rahman fan. Last year, the singer-composed collaborated to sing songs for Atrangi Re. One of the tracks Singh crooned is Tumhein Mohabbat Hai. I don’t think I can describe correctly how it feels to listen to the song. But it’s truly intoxicating. Rahman truly brings the best out of Arijit, and this song is another proof.

Muskurahat

After music composer who knows how to bring the best out of Arijit is Sanjay Leela Bhansali. After Laal Ishq, Aayat, and Binte Dil, Singh sang another soul-stirring number for SLB – Muskurahat. The song is played at the end credits of Gangubai Kathiawadi and gives you chills. The song suits the tone of the film and is quite intense.

Atak Gaya

The soothing romantic song from Badhaai Do will make you smile. Arijit’s husky and mesmerising voice beautifully describes the feeling of falling in love.
