Guardians Of The Galaxy 3: James Gunn Makes An Important Revelation About Groot’s Form!

In Guardians of The Galaxy (2014), we all met the mighty tree ‘Groot’ with superhero powers. His camaraderie with Rocket Racoon entertained everyone. At the end of the film though, we saw how our brave tree sacrificed himself and was later reborn into a sapling. In the sequel, we got to see him as a sapling and in Avengers: Infinity War, he turned into a teenager.

After Avengers: Endgame came out, there have been rumours of Alpha Groot making an entry in Guardians of the Galaxy 3. However, director James Gunn immediately squashed the speculations. Time and again, he was asked this question during interviews or on social media by fans. But Gunn has clearly stated that there won’t be an Alpha form of the Marvel superhero tree.

In his latest Instagram interaction with fans, James Gunn has made a new revelation. After seeing teenage Groot in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, many were of the opinion that adult tree will return in Guardians of The Galaxy 3. However, The Suicide Squad director denied the same.

A fan asked James, “I miss groots adult form. Will we see him as an adult again next?” To this, he responded, “Sadly, that original Groot is no longer with us. So unless there is a prequel of some type, we won’t see him again.”

Guardians of The Galaxy 3 Will Be Helmed By James Gunn

This is not the only Guardians of The Galaxy question Gunn answered. As we all know Thor: Love and Thunder and GoTG 3 worlds will collide after the amazing climax in Endgame. So, a fan asked James Gunn if he has discussed the script with Taika Waititi who is helming the fourth instalment on God of Thunder.

The fan questioned, “Have you discussed with Taika over the plan for Guardians in Thor 4?” Gunn answered, “Yes, as I’ve said before Taika read the Vol 3 script before writing Love & Thunder, and we discussed in depth what was going on with the Guardians.

One question was also about WandaVision. As we all know the Phase 4 of Marvel commenced this year with the Disney+ Marvel series starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany. So a fan asked James Gunn if he is watching the web show or not.

The director revealed, “I haven’t seen it yet.” Well, we wonder what his review will be once he watches the show. After all, James always makes sure to share his views on any movie or series he watches.
