Puff your cheeks
Cheek puffs help reduce fat from the middle and the upper part of your cheeks, increasing the blood circulation in your facial muscles. It makes your face look toned, slimmer and sculpts your face making it a good exercise for facial muscles. Contrary to the notion that puffing cheeks can expand the cheek muscles, it actually strengthens your upper cheek muscles thus improving your facial muscle health and strength.
To perform the exercise, take a deep breath and puff your cheeks. Hold for 10 seconds. Next, move the air to your right cheek and hold it for another 10 seconds. Shift to the left cheek and do the same. Repeat this at least 10 times.
Raise your brows
To do this facial exercise, place your index and middle fingers in a closed peace sign. Rest the fingers over your brows gently pushing the skin down. Now lift your eyebrows up and down taking the help of your fingernails. Perform at least 3 sets of this facial exercise for 30 seconds each to help your brows relax. This exercise also gets rid of forehead wrinkles (caused due to the frontalis muscles on the forehead) alongside lifting sagging eyebrows.
This facial exercise also called the “smiling fish face” works the lower part of your face giving you a slimmer-looking appearance. It tones and tightens your cheek, jaw, and chin, reducing flabbiness. It is aptly named fish face as you may look like a pouting fish while doing the same. We all know how to make this funny face, just suck in your cheeks and your lips. However, take care not to bite down on your lips or tongue and try to ensure that the shape of your lips resemble the figure eight. After sucking your cheeks and lips inwards, hold in posture for 10 seconds and try to smile. Do this for 5 minutes daily and repeat the exercise throughout the day to see faster results.
Do chin lifts
Chin lift works for the lower half of your face, including the jaw, and is the best way to get rid of a double chin. It eliminates fat from the chin area and stretches most of the facial muscles, including the throat and neck. While performing this facial exercise, make sure not to use any other facial muscle other than the lips. Start by tilting your head backward and stretch the neck as far as possible. Now move your lower lip over your upper lip and stay in this position for 10 seconds. Remember that you have to look up and repeat the exercise 10-15 times at a stretch for best results.
The cheekbone lift uses the same muscles involved in the smile movement. It helps to tighten your cheek muscles and smoothen cheek folds giving you a youthful look. The exercise helps firm drooping cheek muscles, reduces face fat, and gives you defined cheekbones.
Place your index and middle finger on your cheeks and gently lift the skin upwards with the help of your fingers. Simultaneously, open your mouth, making an oval ‘O’. Hold the position for five seconds and you will feel a slight stretch and strain in your cheek muscles. Relax your face and complete 10-15 sets at a stretch. Say goodbye to flabby cheeks as this facial exercise helps maintain the form of the cheeks and gives you a sharper definition of the cheekbones.
