Ewan McGregor, who fan lovingly remember from Star Wars movies, won an Emmy today. The actor’s first career Emmy for Netflix show Halston (Lead Actor in a Limited Series category). Along with winning the award, Ewan has made his fans happy by talking about his Disney+ Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi.
If you remember, last year, Star Wars and Disney+ announced a new set of shows that will release in the next two years. One of them stars Ewan, in which he reprises his role as Obi-Wan, a Force-sensitive legendary Jedi master. He was the mentor of Anakin and Luke Skywalker in the movies.
At the backstage of 2021 Emmys, Ewan McGregor talked about his web series and how it will not disappoint fans. As reported by Deadline, the actor said, “We finished shooting our series, and it was really, really good fun. I really enjoyed working with [director-executive producer] Deborah Chow, and I think it will not disappoint. The new technology that we employed doing it is cool, and it was a different experience than making the original three films that I did.”

The Disney+ series also stars Hayden Christensen in a pivotal role. Hayden will reprise his role as Anakin, aka Darth Vader. As per the reports, the series will occur between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. We will find out what Obi-Wan and Darth Vader were doing when the former was in hiding with Luke and Leia, post the events of Revenge of The Sith.
Meanwhile, in his Emmy winning speech, the Halston actor said, “Mary, I love you so much. I’m gonna take this home and show it to our new little boy, Laurie. And to my beautiful girls, who I know are watching, Clara, Esther, Jamyan and Anouk, hello to you too. Thank you very much everybody.”
