Euphoria Season 2 Promo Predictions: A New Couple, Cassie Trying to Be Maddy?

The first episode of Euphoria Season 2 was released on January 2. The teenage drama stars Zendaya, Maude Apatow, Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer, Algee Smith and Sydney Sweeney. Written by Sam Levinson, a lot happened in the first episode itself.

We finally got Fez’s backstory in episode 1. He is now friends with Lexi. Nate and Cassie hooked up during the New Year party. Rue makes a new friend Elliot and also reunites with Jules. But the show ended on a crazy note when Fez beat the sh*t out of Nate. He hit in hard until his face was covered in blood and bruises.

The makers dropped a new Euphoria Season 2 promo earlier. A lot is going on in the 2 minutes 18 seconds promo. It starts with an injured Nate lying in the hospital bed, laughing like a maniac. There’s some awkwardness as Elliot meets Rue and Jules. Fez and Lexi might become a couple. The song ‘It Never Rains in Southern California’ plays in the background.

Initially, Cassie feels guilty for betraying her best friend Maddy by hooking up with her ex Nate. In a scene, it looks like she is rigorously shaving her face and body as it she wants to get rid of the places where Nate kissed her. But in one of the scenes, Cassie comes to school dressing up like Maddy. Is she trying to get Nate’s attention? That is going to be super awkward.

Every teenager in the show is completely messed up. As soon as the background song ends, the promo turns darker. As the makers promised, HBO Max’s Euphoria 2 is indeed getting more intense. We see more of Rue’s addiction and how it destroys her life.

Earlier in her Instagram post, even Zendaya had shared the same. The Spider-Man: No Way Home actor had posted, “This season, maybe even more so than the last, is deeply emotional and deals with subject matter that can be triggering and difficult to watch. Please only watch it if you feel comfortable. Take care of yourself and know that either way you are still loved and I can still feel your support. All my love, Daya.”

Euphoria Season 2 Episode 2 will be streaming on Sunday on HBO Max. In India, the episode will release on Disney+ Hotstar on Monday.
