Netflix is releasing its newest biopic Blonde on 28th September 2022 starring Ana de Armas as none other than Marilyn Monroe. The film is directed by Andrew Dominik and takes us through the glamorous yet heartbreaking life of the iconic star and the controversies that followed as she rose to fame in 1950s Hollywood. The film aims to focus on some of the less public aspects of the star’s life such as her early childhood, her relationship with her mother and the woman behind the glamour.
The cast stars Ana de Armas as Marilyn Monroe, Adrien Brody as Arthur Miller, Sara Paxton as Miss Flynn, Bobby Cannavale as Joe DiMaggio, Casper Phillipson as John F. Kennedy, Xavier Samuel as Charlie Chaplin Jr., Julianne Nicholson as Gladys Pearl Baker.

All About Eve stars Bette Davis as a well-known actress who hires an assistant to help her with her needs. Even though she isn’t the protagonist in the film, we see the actress slowly blossom into the star we all know and love today. The movie is about a showgirl named Lorelei who is about to be married to a wealthy man Gus Edmond Jr. When she takes a trip with her friends to Paris, her father-in-law hires a detective to keep tabs on her. The film’s standout song “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Bestfriend” became an instant hit after the film’s release. The Seven Year Itch was a 1955 romantic comedy film made at a time when Marilyn was already considered a megastar. The Paparazzi was obsessed with her looks, her stardom and her love life. Her most remembered scene in the film of her white dress blowing up from a hot crater was constantly brought up in the media and gave her a lot of publicity. The film is about a married man whose wife and kid are away because of the bad weather. When a new attractive neighbour moves into the building he begins to fantasize about a life with her. Some Like it Hot is a romantic comedy film about two musicians who pretend to be part of a female band in order to save themselves from a mob when they previously witnesses an attack. The film stars Marilyn as Sugar Kane, Tony Curtis as Shell Oil, Jack Lemmon as Daphne Jerry and Joan Shawlee as Sweet Sue.
