Dynamite Kiss Episode 6 Recap

Episode 5 continues to stir up the chaos of unspoken feelings and complicated love lines. It opens with Ha-yeong finally gathering the courage to confess to Seon-u. She lays her heart out, hoping for a miracle, but Seon-u gently turns her down. His reasoning? He’s already fallen for Da-rim. Ha-yeong, trying to hold herself together despite the sting, boldly questions him—if his feelings are genuine, then why hasn’t he confessed to Da-rim yet? Seon-u admits he’s terrified of ruining the long-standing friendship they share. That fragile fear keeps him silent.

Meanwhile, Da-rim and Ji-hyeok share a soft moment of nostalgia, reminiscing about their time in Jeju Island. Their bond feels warmer and more natural than ever. Inspired by Ha-yeong’s challenge, Seon-u decides it’s time to stop holding back. He approaches Da-rim with every intention of confessing. Unfortunately for him, the moment goes completely off track. Da-rim assumes he’s talking about Ha-yeong and enthusiastically encourages him to pursue her. Seon-u, helpless and heartbroken, watches the misunderstanding snowball yet again.

Elsewhere, Ji-hyeok is convinced he has seen Da-rim being cheated on by Seon-u—still under the illusion that Seon-u is married. Conflicted, he wants to protect Da-rim but doesn’t want to devastate her with the truth he thinks he knows. Instead, he confronts Ha-yeong, accusing her of destroying a family by getting involved with a married man. Ha-yeong, unable to reveal Seon-u’s real situation, is driven to frustration and emotional exhaustion.

Back at work, Ji-hyeok’s father surprisingly approves their eco-friendly project idea. The entire team heads out for a celebratory dinner, where Da-rim drinks far more than she can handle. One by one, everyone leaves until only Ji-hyeok remains by her side, making sure she’s safe. In her drunken state, Da-rim finally lets down her guard.

She confesses that Ji-hyeok’s constant acts of kindness, paying off her debt, bringing her porridge when she was ill, treating her to good meals have started to make her heart flutter. She insists he’s only being considerate because they’re colleagues, yet these gestures make her feel things she believes she shouldn’t. Before Ji-hyeok can even react to her honesty, she suddenly passes out in his arms.

The next morning, the team jumps straight back into the project. Da-rim, eager to prove her worth, works late. Ji-hyeok checks on her progress and offers helpful guidance, revealing how much he actually enjoys being around her. But then, the pressure catches up. Da-rim suddenly doubles over in pain and collapses due to stress and exhaustion. Ji-hyeok, alarmed, wastes no time rushing her to the hospital.

While watching over her as she rests, a wave of realisation hits him. His feelings are no longer subtle—he deeply cares for her. When Seon-u repeatedly calls Da-rim’s phone, Ji-hyeok remembers the kiss he mistakenly witnessed and is overwhelmed by a possessive instinct. He decides he can no longer stand back. He wants to protect her, and he’s done letting anyone else get close.

Episode 6 kicks the love triangle into absolute overdrive, leaving zero room for subtlety. Seon-u finally stops hiding his feelings, only to be crushed by Da-rim’s innocent misunderstanding. Meanwhile, Ji-hyeok transforms from a reluctant helper to a full-blown protector, driven by a jealousy he can no longer ignore. The emotional tension is so thick, you could cut it with a chopstick.

The pacing is sharp, and Da-rim’s drunken confession delivers the most heart-fluttering moment of the show so far. With Ji-hyeok’s determination now set ablaze, the battle for Da-rim’s heart is just beginning, and it’s deliciously messy. Episode 6 leaves us screaming for the next chapter, because someone is definitely getting kissed soon… and it’s going to change everything.
