BSS Second Wind Album Review
SEVENTEEN has always been a band well-known for their outstanding choreographies and diverse music genres. They’re loved for not giving out songs that have the same vibe, rather they tend to experiment with different genres. It is evident that all 13 members are good at everything. As per that, the Second Wind Album also consists of three songs falling under different genres. Let’s head on to the review, where I’ll be breaking down each song and the X factor that it has got.
Fighting Ft. Lee Young-ji
Fighting is Second Wind Album’s title track featuring famous Kpop rapper Lee Young-ji. The pop song sets off with an 808 kick beat before moving to Hoshi’s verse. The music video was so appealing with its bright colours. Most importantly, the video presented the main trio singing happily and motivating people that it’s never too late to work on our dreams. The iconic “Fighting, Haeyaji!” is the song’s best part, paired with the stunning choreography.
The crowd dropped the mics when Lee Young-ji’s rap came. Oh my goodness, her bold vocals just sizzled the song. Her first line, “Morning coffee is decaf”, is more than enough to raise our hands. Her attitude and how she speeds up her rap at the end of her bar were extremely powerful. Nobody thought we needed this song, but we deserve it!
Woozi and Bumzu did an outstanding job with the music as well. The synth beats, the guitar, the adlibs, the piano staccato during the bridge, and the number of arrangements — Absolutely hot! Speaking of the lyrics, the crew aced it. The meaning is so deep and will surely inspire many people, count me in.

Lunch
Lunch is the second song of the album. The 3-minute long song produced in C♯/D♭ Major with a tempo of 120 is definitely a dance number to fall in love with. The best part is that it brings back the 2010s pop vibe with synth loops. While Fighting was ultimately a pop song, Lunch is the Daft Punk type of version that will give you the club feels.
Hoshi, Seungkwan and DK perfectly rocked the song with their exemplary vocals. The lyrics are utterly delicious because the boys are legit asking you to eat lunch with them. Care to join?
7 PM
A melodious song from BSS was unexpected. The trio, known for peppy and vibrant songs that tend to push people to pursue their goals, presented a beautiful acoustic Norwegian pop song that we all can’t stop listening to. The vocals of the three were so soothing, and surprisingly Peder Elias’ English feature was so heart-touching.
7 PM is a song you can listen to on a snowy night as you walk on the bridge. The tempo is suitable for dancing slowly and happily with the one you love. Honestly, the song will mesmerise one with the lyrical rhythm, the harmonies belted by DK and Seungkwan, Hoshi’s beautiful falsetto, Peder’s smooth voice and the guitar chords. A blissful song, we genuinely say.
Second Wind Album Final Verdict
Woozi, Bumzu, Seungkwan, DK, Hoshi, Peder Elias, Lee Young-ji and others who worked on the songs have to be appreciated because Second Wind is one of the best albums given out by a special unit of a band. SEVENTEEN, known for their three sub-units, never thought BSS would evoke, but that’s the best thing that happened.
Second Wind came with fierce air (Fighting) and ended with a chill breeze (7 PM). All three songs are lovely because they sound different and have distinct x-factors and lyrics. Big kudos to BSS for fulfilling the expectations of their fans, and cheers to more awards and achievements for the album.
