Bridgerton Season 2: Everything to Know Netflix’s Upcoming Period Drama

Fans can no longer keep calm as Bridgerton Season 2 is right around the corner. The acclaimed period drama on Netflix that debuted back on December 25, 2020, is returning with a second season filled with romance, grace and a bunch of new characters that promise to be as entertaining and charming as the first season!

Created by Chris Van Dusen, this show is producer Shonda Rhimes’ first Netflix script, who is well known for the popular medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. The show is based on Julia Quinn’s novels series of that same name that is set in the competitive world of Regency-era London’s ton during the season where debutantes were presented at court. Before the release of the series’ second season, let us have a look at some quick details.

Bridgerton Season 2 Cast

This season will introduce the Sharma sisters to the franchise that includes Charithra Chandran as Edwina Sharma and Simone Ashley as Kate Sharma. Apart from that, we have Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton, Luke Thompson as Benedict Bridgerton, Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton and, Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton. Audiences will also see the return of Phoebe Dyvenor as Daphne Basset in the second season’s third episode.

Bridgerton Season 2 Plot/Synopsis

YouTube’s trailer description for the series reads: “Duty, desire and scandal collide when Viscount Anthony Bridgerton decides to marry, only to meet his match in his intended bride’s headstrong big sister.” Netflix further describes the show as swoon-worthy, witty and emotional.
