Fans React to Bridgerton Season 2 First Look ft Simone Ashley, Jonathan Bailey and Others

Netflix’s favourite period drama, Bridgerton Season 2, just dropped in some enchanting first look pictures and, fans cannot stop raving about it. Created by Chris Van Dusen and produced by Shonda Rhimes, the series is based on Julia Quinn’s novels of the same name. With the first season being such a hit amongst viewers, it was no surprise when it was renewed for a second season and, would be followed up with a third and fourth season too. Well, we can take a back seat and be assured that there isn’t going to be any lack of Bridgerton content for us anytime soon!

Eight pictures from Bridgerton Season 2 reveal how the new series will be a promising ride. The upcoming season will centre around Lord Anthony Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey, who is the eldest Bridgerton sibling and viscount. We will see the character set out on a journey to find a suitable wife for himself. This season is based on Quinn’s second novel in the series- The Viscount Who Loved Me. Simone Ashley, who we all know very well from Netflix’s Sex Education, is going to star opposite Bailey as his love interest, Kate Sharma.

After the romance between Daphne Bridgerton (played by Phoebe Dynevor) and the Duke of Hastings (played by Regé-Jean Page), the second season will take a more Pride and Prejudice turn it seems. Bridgerton Season 2 pictures also reveal that Dynevor will reprise in her role, whereas Page will not return to the show.

You can catch all episodes of Bridgerton Season 2 when it arrives on Netflix on the 25th of March, 2022. Meanwhile, you can watch all the episodes from season 1, here.
