Brahmastra Twitter Reactions: Astraverse Reigns Strong on Hotstar, Fans Left With Major Goosebumps

Some things never change and Brahmastra‘s early OTT premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar despite still going strong in the cinemas as well can testify. The Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt (along with several bewitching cameos by Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Deepika Padukone) starrer directed by Ayan Mukherji released in India on September 9, 2022, and has been a raving topic of discussion since then.

Post its theatrical release, the movie received its fair share of harsh reception from the critics who called out its design for lacking in terms of storytelling itself. However, the majority of the general public couldn’t have enough of the pioneering visual victory of the film, thereby calling it a must-watch in theatres.

On November 4, 2022, almost two months post its release, the movie received its much-anticipated OTT release and the same fans are back to extol the efforts of the entire team behind the origin story of the Astraverse. With Shiva Part One having successfully championed the needs of the audience as opposed to the moribund nature of recent Bollywood films, the fans are eager to witness the expansion of the Astraverse as soon as possible. Having single-handedly pulled the public back to the theatres after a long while, the film has proved that sometimes a critical eye isn’t enough to grade a cinematic result that has otherwise been deemed a masterpiece in the eyes of the public already.

Despite its own shortcomings, the same people who’d witnessed the magic and color of the film on the big screen are once again streaming the film on Disney Plus Hotstar and commending its beauty. The latest reactions so recorded on Twitter are all about shunning the negative remarks about the movie and asking others to give the movie a chance without heeding the words or low ratings by the critics.

Some remarks are similar to what had been listed out earlier in applauding Khan’s return as Mohan Bhargav, while others are all about Ranbir Kapoor’s onscreen finesse in pulling off both the abilities of an actor and a dancer seamlessly. Additionally, the background score has also stolen the hearts of many by building a case for itself. All in all, the collective response of the viewers is that there’s no other Bollywood movie like this one out there. And though Marvel fans may not necessarily view this effort on equal grounds as their favorites, the movie definitely holds its ground in India, taking the first big leap towards a grand visual spectacle of its kind.
