Bleach TYBW Part 3 Episode 12 Recap
This episode opens with a flashback, directing us to the backstory of two key Quincy characters, Bazz B and Jugram. We witness their first encounter as children in a forest, where they cross paths while hunting. Early on, it becomes evident that Jugram lacks the ability to form a Heilig Bogen, the quintessential weapon of the Quincies.

In contrast, Bazz B, who excels at wielding the Heilig Bogen, takes Jugram under his wing, almost forcibly, and vows to protect him. Their bond develops into an unlikely friendship. However, everything changes when Yhwach destroys Bazz B’s homeland, leaving nothing but devastation in his wake. Driven by the desire for revenge, Bazz B resolves to confront Yhwach and invites Jugram to join him on this mission, as both find themselves alone in the world.

The bond between Bazz B and Jugram is one of the most essential aspects of the episode, especially as earlier episodes only hinted at their volatile connection. Their distinct personalities and contrasting worldviews add layers to their relationship. Despite sharing the same goal initially, their paths changed over time, transforming them into enemies. Later, we see Jugram killing Bazz B.
Bleach TYBW Part 3 Episodes 13 And 14 Review And Recap

What an absolutely satisfying and gratifying end to the third cour. It left us on a high note and gave us hope that it will return better than ever before, with characters and situations we will cherish. The 13th episode establishes who will fight whom in the next season and builds a proper stage for the electrifying 14th episode. Here, we see Jugram utilising the powers he received from Yhwach as he is supposed to be asleep now. With that, Jugram already figures out that Uryu might be an enemy in disguise whose ulterior motive is to side with the soul reapers. This gets confirmed later.

Somewhere else, Askin, who was giving a pretty tough time to Ichigo and his squad finally meets his match with Yoruichi, who swiftly commands Ichigo to go on with his mission as she will handle the rest. Other than that, we see Gerard facing off against Byakuya, Shinji, Rukia and others. Gerard first did not showcase much promising growth, but when Byakuya deals significant damage to him, he proves just how mighty his abilities are.
In the last episode, we also look at the past and tap into the troubled relationship Uryu had with his family, especially his father. Thankfully, we actually see Ryuken and Isshin reaching Wahrwelt and gearing up for their own battle, which we will see in the next season.

But I must say the highlight of this episode was the arrival of Kira, in his half-torn form. I am also absolutely hyped about Aizen and waiting patiently to hear his infamous, “Welcome To My Soul Society”. We should get an experience that we have never seen before and I do not have doubts about the quality.
Verdict

I loved this and really have no complaints other than praises about the quality and execution of the last two episodes. The animation is a literal chef’s kiss, where even the minimal use of CGI was tastefully done. The background music was aptly hyping the viewers up with its intensity signalling the craziness of the situation.
This was truly a wonderful journey, and I hope Bleach gets way more love and recognition, as it really portrayed one of the greatest comebacks in anime history.
