Seems like there is no stopping BLACKPINK’s Lisa as she climbs one milestone after the other in her music journey. The K-pop singer has achieved recognition and created historic moments and records with her album ‘LALISA.’ As of recent, the popularity of the track ‘MONEY’ made Lisa the first female K-pop solo artist to have a song that charted on the Official Singles Chart for two weeks in a row. It is ‘MONEY’ again which gets Lisa her second entry to the Billboard’s Hot 100.
As of November 1st, Billboard announced that ‘MONEY,’ which is the b-side track of her solo debut album ‘LALISA’ has made it at number 90 on the Hot 100 for the week, till November 6. Due to this development, our artist in question is going to be the second female K-pop soloist to have more than one entry on the Hot 100.
The first K-pop female soloist to do this was CL for the tracks ‘Lifted’ and ‘DADDY’ in collaboration with PSY. As for ‘MONEY’, it has seen a resurgence on the music charts shortly after its release as it rose on the United Kingdom’s Official Singles Chart and became the fastest song by any K-pop solo artist to hit 100 million streams on Spotify.
The singer’s debut to the Billboard’s Hot 100, of course, came with ‘LALISA,’ which the platform noted in their announcement tweet. She is presently the second member of BLACKPINK who has scored a solo entry on the Hot 100, taking after her bandmate Rosé for the track ‘On the Ground.’
