And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 8 Review: The Aidan-Carrie Boat is Moving So Fast That It’s Nauseating

And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 8 Review: This HBO series is developed by Michael Patrick King. It serves as the revival and a sequel of the old classic Sex and the City which was created by Darren Star, based on Candace Bushnell’s newspaper column and 1996 book anthology of the same name.

The main cast for the show features Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw, Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbes, Kristin Davis as Charlotte York Goldenblatt, Mario Cantone as Anthony Marentino, David Eigenberg as Steve Brady, Evan Handler as Harry Goldenblatt, Sara Ramirez as Che Diaz and Sarita Choudhury as Seema Patel. Other cast members include Nicole Ari Parker as Lisa Todd Wexley, Karen Pittman as Dr. Nya Wallace, Bobby Lee as Jackie Nee, Chris Jackson as Herbert Wexley, LeRoy McClain as Andre Rashad Wallace, Cathy Ang as Lily Goldenblatt, Alexa Swinton as Rose Goldenblatt, Niall Cunningham as Brady Hobbes, Cree Cicchino as Luisa Torres, Ivan Hernandez as Franklyn and Brenda Vaccaro as Gloria Marquette.

There are going to be some new faces in the second season. We will see John Corbett as Aidan Shaw, and Candice Bergen as Enid Frick alongside Tony Danza, Sam Smith and Victor Garber. The biggest surprise is, of course, the return of Kim Cattrall as Samantha Jones.

The eighth episode of And Just Like That Season 2 is out now. The episode is written by Michael Patrick King, Julie Rottenberg & Elisa Zuritsky. The runtime of the episode is 45-60 approximately minutes.

And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 8 Review: A Hundred Years Ago

After weeping over Big’s death in the entire first season and, not being get over the grief for half of the second one, it does seem too extreme that in And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 8 Carrie is actually rethinking all her life choices, including asking questions like if Big was a mistake. It is infuriating, to say the least.

In And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 8, Carrie is going into her relationship headstrong with Aidan. We do not mind the woman repurposing her grief and moving on in her life but, the way things are being portrayed just makes Carrie look more shallow now than she ever has. We say it is infuriating because Miranda was really getting on our nerves for the longest time and, now with her character development back on track, Carrie’s seems to have derailed. Trust us, we are upset to be reporting this pattern too.

But, it is not just us who is cringing at Carrie and Aidan’s love fest. Seema is subjected to this trauma and she rightly calls Carrie out, thank goodness. Miranda tries to do it too but, that girl has another set of problems to deal with in this episode.

In And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 8, Miranda Hobbes is trying to seize the day by continuing to be an alcoholic who is sexually confused (not our words but hers). She is navigating through her intern life, well or not, we are unsure of it till now. As of Charlotte, the woman is ready to go back to her job web but, the menopause storyline hits her like a wrecking ball making her panic and jump.

And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 8: Final Thoughts

Where is And Just Like That Season 2 going? Does redeeming two characters (Miranda and Charlotte) mean the destruction of the main one (Carrie)? Ugh, it is a frustrating thing. The show is only half-heartedly enjoyable. Mostly because we are just looking forward to Kim Cattrall making an entry.
