And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 1 and 2 Review: This HBO series is developed by Michael Patrick King. It serves as the revival and a sequel of the old classic Sex and the City which was created by Darren Star, based on Candace Bushnell’s newspaper column and 1996 book anthology of the same name.
The main cast for the show features Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw, Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbes, Kristin Davis as Charlotte York Goldenblatt, Mario Cantone as Anthony Marentino, David Eigenberg as Steve Brady, Evan Handler as Harry Goldenblatt, Sara Ramirez as Che Diaz and Sarita Choudhury as Seema Patel. Other cast members include Nicole Ari Parker as Lisa Todd Wexley, Karen Pittman as Dr. Nya Wallace, Bobby Lee as Jackie Nee, Chris Jackson as Herbert Wexley, LeRoy McClain as Andre Rashad Wallace, Cathy Ang as Lily Goldenblatt, Alexa Swinton as Rose Goldenblatt, Niall Cunningham as Brady Hobbes, Cree Cicchino as Luisa Torres, Ivan Hernandez as Franklyn and Brenda Vaccaro as Gloria Marquette.
There are going to be some new faces in the second season. We will see John Corbett as Aidan Shaw, and Candice Bergen as Enid Frick alongside Tony Danza, Sam Smith and Victor Garber. The biggest surprise is, of course, the return of Kim Cattrall as Samantha Jones.
The first two episodes of the show is out now. The first episode is titled ‘Met Cute’ and the second one is called ‘The Real Deal’. Both episodes are written by Michael Patrick King and Susan Fales-Hill.

And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 1 and 2 Review: Met Cute & The Real Deal
The second season of And Just Like That is here and, surprisingly, it is more thoughtful and spicey than the previous one. The premiere included two episodes that laid out the foundation for the characters or, where they are at the moment, picking up the stories and playing them out again- with enough sex and, some cringe moments, of course.
The first two episodes take us through Carrie’s unlikely romance with her podcast producer, Franklyn. Not a lot of fans thought that kiss at the end of the last season was something that would pan out to be anything but, here we are in the second season with the two at a place which is dating but, not a relationship. Yes, a ‘situationship’ of sorts. It seems cute but, Carrie does not seem convinced enough with the hotness in front of her. Thus, when a vaginal wellness ad walks into their lives, it is easy to seem them become weak and dysfunctional.
But, that is not the only dysfunctional relationship, you see. It is our powerhouse Seema, who is still stuck with Zed and his ways. Strangely, so is Miranda! Yes, she is doing her travelling to be with them but, what Che missed out on in the first season entirely was that they are still officially married to Lyle. It is a shocker for both Miranda and the audience. However, the way our independent ladies tackle these situations is really sad.

Charlotte is a character wasted in the starting episodes and it is always depressing to see how this character never gets a storyline as important as that of Carrie or Miranda (long sigh). It is her children and family and, Charlotte continues to struggle to be a full-time mom. We also see Nya and Lisa with their problematic husbands, where one is able to break free and the other isn’t.
And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 1 and 2: Final Thoughts
Overall, And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 1 and 2 were really enjoyable. After the downer that last season, this one started off well. There were some moments of long sighs and foolishness but, it kicked some stones in the right direction for us to tune in for future episodes.
