Alienoid: Trailer and Poster for Upcoming Korean Sci-Fi Film Out, Release Date Revealed

Alienoid is an upcoming South Korean sci-fi action fantasy film which will be releasing in two parts. On 13 June CJ Entertainment released the poster of the two-part film, which revealed and confirmed the release date of its first part. The film will be directed and written by Choi Dong-hoon who is best known for his 2012 crime film The Thieves and 2015 period film Assassination. Alienoid will also mark his return to filmmaking after seven years.

The cast includes Ryu Joon-yeol as Mu-reuk, Kim Woo-bin as guard, Kim Tae-ri as Yi-an, So Ji-sub as Mun Do-seok, Yum Jung-ah as Heuk-seol, Jo Woo-jin as Chung-woon, Kim Eui-sung as Ja-jang, Lee Ha-nee as Min Gae-in, Shin Jung-keun as Woo-wang, Lee Si-hoon as Jwa-wang and Yoo Jae-myung. The film is about the swordsmen in Goryeo Dynasty who want to seize the legendary divine sword and those who chase after an alien prisoner locked in a human body in 2022, but door of time opens between the two periods which leads to a chaotic situation. We will see the two periods, one historical and the other present day, in parallel. Fans were already excited about the film looking at its concept and the cast. Thus, on 22 June, CJ Entertainment released new teaser and stills from the film that has taken the internet by the storm.

The 12 new stills show the stark differences between the Goryeo Dynasty and modern life, but they also depict the unique characters with individual personalities. While Ryu Joon-yeol exude an eccentric and free spirited vibe, on the other hand Kim Woo-bin in 2022 gives off more of a serious touch while playing the character of a guard.
