Ajeeb Daastaans stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Jaideep Ahlawat, Armaan Ralhan, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Abhishek Banerjee, Konkana Sen Sharma, Aditi Rao Hydari, Shefali Shah and Manav Kaul. The 2 minutes 19 seconds trailer has shown us glimpses of every character’s life, troubles, and twisted love stories.

Fatima Sana Shaikh and Jaideep Ahlawat’s characters are in a loveless marriage until one day she meets someone who makes her feel loved. Nushrratt Bharuccha’s character is struggling to make ends meet for herself and her daughter. But life changes when she meets hope in the form of love.

Aditi Rao Hydari is married, but she struggles with her real identity and sexuality when she meets Konkana Sen Sharma. Shefali Shah is having a tough time in her married life. Her husband doesn’t wish to understand the importance of sign language to communicate with their daughter. But Manav Kaul enters her life, and things seem beautiful again. But is it all happy and cheerful for the characters till the end? We will only find this out once we watch the film.

As you can see, every story is unique in its own way, with different characteristics and issues. But they are bound by love. In the trailer, we see the text, “Every story will reveal a strange reality.” Well, we are all set to learn about this reality. We can’t wait to know which director has helmed which story.

In the YouTube description, Netflix India has shared in detail what to expect from the anthology film. It reads – Ajeeb Daastaans is an anthology of four strangely contrasting stories which delve into fractured relationships and unexplored spaces. The stories set in varied milieus explore jealousy, entitlement, prejudices and toxicity, which are often entangled within the heart of their relationships. Each story also takes you on a journey where one would struggle with the moral dilemma of what’s right and what’s wrong, as the lines between them get blurred.

Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Ajeeb Daastaans will release on Netflix on April 16, 2021. KJo himself shared the trailer link on his Twitter page and wrote, “Twists in the story and twisted characters go hand in hand. #AjeebDaastaans premieres 16 April, only on Netflix.”
