English singer-songwriter Adele has been away from the limelight for quite some time now. However, the singer recently announced her first single in almost six years. On Tuesday, she took to social media to announce that she will release her new song with its name and release date. Variety.com reports, Adele’s new song is titled ‘Easy on Me’ and is scheduled to release on October 15, 2021.
Adele Annouces Her New Song
She posted on Instagram a black-and-white video with a piano melody. “Easy On Me – October 15,” she wrote. It will be a presumptive lead single from her upcoming fourth album — the first after 2015.
When Adele released her third album titled ’25’ in 2015, it became the year’s best-selling album and broke first-week sales records in a number of markets, including the UK and the US. She has always been a popular singer and much loved by the audience, thus her return to the forefront is rather delightful.
Adele Laurie Blue Adkins is one of the world’s best-selling music artists, with sales of over 120 million records under her belt. Her debut album ’19’ was released in 2008. By 2014, she was regarded as a British cultural icon, with young adults from overseas naming her among a group of people whom they most associated with UK culture, which included William Shakespeare, Queen Elizabeth II, David Beckham, J.K. Rowling, The Beatles, Charlie Chaplin, and Elton John.
Meanwhile, fans are anticipating that the new song is going to be from Adele’s album “30” about which she has been dropping hints all over her social media. The emotive clip set to announce the release was shot in the Canadian Eastern Townships in September, according to La Presse.
However, nothing much can be said about the song and we are all just waiting to get Adele back on stage!
