A Hollywood Christmas is an upcoming holiday-themed movie that revolves around an ambitious director (Jessika Van), who tries to recreate the Christmas magic through his movie while being constantly interrupted by a Network executive. The film is a classic take on the magic of Christmas and is directed by French filmmaker Alex Ranarivelo (Born To Race, Bennett’s War).
The complete cast of the film includes Josh Swickard, Riley Dandy, Zak Steiner, Tom Williamson, Mark W Gray, Evan Shafran, Olga Safari and Missi Pyle. Moreover, it is written by John Ducey and has a runtime of one hour and thirty minutes.
The trailer of the film introduces us to a meta-romantic comedy situation layered with festive magic. Jessica Van is a professional filmmaker assigned to deliver a Christmas movie to the studio, followed by a network executive (played by Josh Sickward) who cross-checks everything as part of the deal.
At first, the process of completing the movie becomes absolutely frustrating for the filmmaker. She gets constantly interrupted by the network executive, along with his stupid additions to the screenplay. However, Jessica finds the common ground to complete the movie and focus on the magic of the special holiday.
Meanwhile, the Network executive also gets attached to the dedicated director and starts having feelings for her. He decides to take her on a date, and reveal the secret of her heart, in the most romantic way possible. But before any of that happens, the studio decides to scrap the movie, and end the Christmas magic.
The rest of the trailer deals with restoring the newly formed relationship and convincing the studio to reverse its decision. What happens next, promises to be a perfect Christmas Saga, told in the most meta way.
