Would You Marry Me Episode 10 Recap
Episode 10 of Would You Marry Me? opens with intense tension as Sang-hyun confronts Woo-joo about his supposed marriage to Me-ri. Before Woo-joo can answer, Jin-gyeong interrupts, requesting a private word with Sang-hyun. Once alone, she reveals the entire truth about Me-ri and Woo-joo’s fake marriage, asking what consequences they might face.
Sang-hyun bluntly replies that they could face serious legal action, but Jin-gyeong has an ace up her sleeve. She shows him a video recording of the Mayor and Sung-woo discussing their agreement to approve a new store permit in exchange for a house in Beaute Palace.
When Sang-hyun accuses her of blackmail, Jin-gyeong calmly replies that she is merely protecting someone she loves, just as he is protecting Sung-woo. Torn between his sense of duty and his loyalty to Sung-woo, Sang-hyun realises that exposing Woo-joo and Me-ri would risk revealing the corruption caught in the video. Reluctantly, he decides to let the matter go, understanding that silence might be the only way to protect everyone involved.

Elsewhere, CEO Ms Go begins to suspect David Lee, the head of Kaltz Hotel. Sung-woo informs her that David has abruptly quit and that he only learned of it during a recent flight. The timing raises Go’s suspicions about the new plant they are building in partnership with Kaltz Hotel. Sensing something amiss, she starts to dig deeper.
At home, Han-gu, ever the schemer, tells Ms Go that David has swindled their funds through fraud. The shock of his revelation triggers a mild heart attack in her. Instead of helping, Han-gu cruelly gives her the wrong medication, revealing his true colours in a chilling confession.
He admits that he had been behind the embezzlement all along, using J Consultancy as his front to drain company money. Ms Go realises, too late, that the man she trusted has betrayed her completely. She collapses, and though she is rushed to the hospital, she slips into a coma. Han-gu, showing no remorse, takes satisfaction in knowing that with her incapacitated, his plans can proceed without obstruction.

Meanwhile, Sang-hyun and Jin-gyeong grow closer as they both struggle with their personal and professional burdens. By coincidence, they end up at the same bar one evening, each seeking solace from their troubled thoughts. They share drinks and speak openly for the first time. Jin-gyeong comforts him, reminding him that he deserves better than the way Sung-woo treats him. Her words bring a rare smile to Sang-hyun’s face, and the two reconcile, forming a quiet bond built on mutual understanding and respect.
Soon after, chaos erupts at Myungsoondang when news breaks that the company’s funds have been lost through a fake contract. The revelation sends shareholders into a frenzy. Seizing the moment, Han-gu hatches another deceitful plan. He invites Jessica to pose as Sylvia, a well-known American investor, to manipulate the board and gain control of company shares.
Woo-joo, sensing something strange about this new investor, grows suspicious. When he visits Me-ri, he shows her a picture of Sylvia. To his shock, Me-ri recognises her as Jessica, a woman she had seen before. She even shows Woo-joo an old photo of Jessica with her younger sister, So-ri. To confirm her suspicions, Me-ri calls So-ri and sends her the picture. So-ri immediately identifies the man beside Jessica as her husband and confirms that the woman’s real name is Jessica, not Sylvia.

Woo-joo is left stunned, realising that his uncle Han-gu is not only a liar but also a massive fraud. Me-ri advises him not to act impulsively but to wait and see Han-gu’s next move. Sure enough, the following day, Jessica arrives at the company disguised as Sylvia, and Han-gu pretends not to know her. He begins to negotiate the sale of a large number of Myungsoondang shares to her.
Alarmed, Woo-joo decides to join forces with his cousin Eung-soo, who already suspects his father’s involvement in criminal activities. Together, they begin gathering evidence against Han-gu. Eung-soo plays a clever trick by pretending to talk to his mother about their grandmother waking from her coma. The news sends Han-gu into a panic. In desperation, he orders Jessica to go to the hospital and kill Ms Go before she regains consciousness.
Jessica, however, fails. The police intervene just in time, and she is arrested for attempted murder. Han-gu quickly erases all digital traces linking them and promises Jessica that he will take care of their son, Henry. When Woo-joo confronts him, demanding an explanation for his betrayal, Han-gu lies again, claiming Jessica had threatened him. But Woo-joo has come prepared—he plays an audio recording of Han-gu abandoning Jessica and Henry, exposing his deceit. Betrayed and broken, Jessica reveals the entire truth to the police.

The episode reaches a powerful climax as Woo-joo tracks Han-gu to Jessica’s Korean residence, where he is seen collecting evidence to cover his crimes. In an emotionally charged moment, Woo-joo finally confronts him, asking the question that has haunted him for years: whether Han-gu was the one responsible for his parents’ deaths. The scene closes in silence, with Woo-joo’s eyes filled with heartbreak and Han-gu’s clouded by guilt and regret.
Would You Marry Me Episode 10 Review
The episode thrives on tension, from Sang-hyun’s moral struggle to Jin-gyeong’s quiet bravery in protecting those she loves. Han-gu’s monstrous side is fully revealed, showing how far greed can push a man beyond redemption. The confrontation between Woo-joo and his uncle is especially compelling—raw, heartbreaking, and devastatingly personal. Every scene feels like a slow descent into truth, with the camera lingering on expressions that reveal more pain than words ever could.

The writing stands out for its balance between melodrama and realism. Each subplot—Ms Go’s tragic collapse, Jin-gyeong and Sang-hyun’s blossoming bond, and Woo-joo’s emotional awakening—fits seamlessly into the larger narrative. By the end, the tension between truth and loyalty reaches its peak, setting the stage for explosive revelations ahead. Episode 10 captures the heart of the drama’s theme: how love and ambition can destroy when built on lies. It is one of the most gripping and emotionally satisfying instalments yet, leaving viewers torn between sorrow and anticipation.
