I just finished watching the Polish movie and its time I bring – A Night at the Kindergarten – ending explained just for you. Directed by Rafal Skalski, this movie is about a young man Eryk who ends up at a kindergarten for a meeting on behalf of his girlfriend. Having no relationship with his girlfriend’s son, Tytus, Eryk joins the meeting to avoid babysitting him. However, as soon as he encounters the turn of events, Eryk’s new life begins.

The Polish name of the of movie is Noc W Przedszkolu and stars, Piotr Witkowski, Zbigniew Zamachowski, Lena Gora, Masza Wagrocka, Julia Wyszynska, Sylwia Boron, Aleksandra Domanska, Dobromir Dymecki, Matylda Damiecka, Maciej Nawrocki and Piotr Borowski. A Night at the Kindergarten Ending Explained: Eryk Finds His New Purpose

Eryk who laughs at parents, finds himself caught in taking care of his girlfriend’s son. When he first goes to the school meeting to cut the babysitting work, he enjoys his time. But soon when he overhears the head of the school’s parent committee, Justyna, wishing to expel Tytus, Eryk tries his best to stop it.

Initially, he plans to stop Justyna’s moves to get a good name from his girlfriend Dorota, but as soon as he learns about how Tytus has drawn pictures of Eryk, he soon realizes the love he has for him. After the first try getting failed. Eryk once again tries to save his step-son’s school life, but this time, just for Tytus.

When his plan works out, Justyna ends up furious and starts to threaten every parent to accept they’re a bad parent. As she holds everyone at gun point, one by one the parents agree except Krystyna, who happens to be Justyna’s close friend. When Krystyna breaks down the truth stating how Justyna’s daughter locked herself up due to being afraid of her, Justyna starts to lose her temper.

When Eryk confronts Justyna, she shoots the wall, causing everyone to panic. But she ends up farting, and in embarrassment runs away. Soon, every parent starts to realize that they have been blaming Tytus for every problem their children faced instead of realizing that it was all their fault. Hence, the committee once again thinks about taking in Tytus, despite him also causing other problems.

After Justyna leaves, all the parents smoke and enjoy a party. However, the school gets nastily messed up as the parents lose control. Soon as they wake up in the morning, everyone start, including Justyna, try their best to fix the school. Later, when the parents finish the cleaning work, they prepare to throw an impromptu Christmas play (they forgot the original script after smoking and drinking last night). However, everything flops and the entire classroom, becomes clumsy, frightening the other parents to immediately leave with their children.

Towards the end, we get to see Eryk calmly talking to Tytus, and asking him whether he can take him as his pal (he definitely meant step-father, but he put it in a comfortable way). Tytus who never responds, gives Eryk his repaired headphones (which Tytus broke earlier) as a sign of accept.

The movie ends with Eryk finding beauty in parenting, and his love towards Tytus, his step-son. On the other hand, other parents from the last night also are shown bonding with their children, realizing how they should have treated this children all along.
