Physics Wallah Review Contains No Spoilers
Amazon mini TVs Physics Wallah starts with a young B-Tech student named Alakh Pandey, who wants to do something big in life. He is in his third year of his college. Alakh comes across a vacant for a Physics teacher at a popular institute. However, when things didn’t work out the way he expected them to, Alakh had to crave his niche. From trying to work as a Physics teacher at a private teaching institute to starting his own YouTube channel as a classroom for those seeking answers, Alakh’s journey has been phenomenal.
The summary of the Amazon series sounds like it’s quite inspiring. The first episode also hints that it will be impactful and enlightening. However, the series packs in only a few awe-inspiring moments. Alakh Pandey, the Physics teacher, played by Shridhar Dubey, is constantly aggressive. Hardly do we see him with the calmness and poise of a teacher.
The constant whiny, dominating and aggressive nature of the character makes Alakh very unlikeable. I am sure, in real life, Alakh must be a better human and has lost his calm whenever things didn’t go his way. However, actor Shridhar’s portrayal of the Physics teacher leaves you agitated. One doesn’t feel like rooting a character constantly yelling at his sister, parents, and colleagues.

All these conversations about life and success often happen at the end of every episode and are preachy. It happens whenever the characters talk to the viewers instead of themselves. What’s sad is that even if people around are giving our protagonist good advice, he is constantly ranting. Even the students, so much younger than him, don’t have such an attitude.

Physics Wallah Review: Final Thoughts
Overall, Physics Wallah would’ve been an inspiring watch if the execution, characters and performances were better. Watching the journey of a man continually yelling at others for things that are not in their control is not at all motivating. The real-life struggles and story of Alakh Pandey often turn into a preaching session.
The series will release on Amazon Mini TV on December 15, 2022.
