83 Trailer: Ranveer Singh and Team is Here to Win Hearts

83 Trailer: Cricket is like a religion in India. The game is played in every alley or street of the country, by people of all ages. But for years, what the Indians didn’t have was a world cup in cricket. But the year 1983 changed everything. Ranveer Singh, along with Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem and others, is here to tell how it happened in Kabir Khan’s film.

In the 83 trailer, Ranveer Singh plays the former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev. Dev played a key role in helping India win its first world cup in cricket. The trailer starts on a light note, giving us a glimpse of how Kapil and his team. Later, the team is worried about the win. But people around have no hopes from them. Singh, aka Kapil Dev, says in the trailer, ‘We here to win. What else we here for?’ In the next few scenes, we see a stellar game by the men in uniform.

The trailer is filled with game and winning spirit and shows how much every Indian loves cricket. From kids to the elderly, everyone is focused on the 1983 cricket match against the West Indies. Actor Deepika Padukone is also seen in the trailer as Kapil Dev’s wife, Romi Dev.

The trailer description reads, “On 25th of June 1983, the Lord’s Cricket Ground witnessed one of the biggest underdog stories in the history of sports. Fourteen inspired men fought against all odds and orchestrated India’s greatest sporting triumph by beating the twice-over World Champions West Indies! This victory put India on the map again and provided the platform to make India the greatest cricketing nation in the world today. Armed with self-belief and conviction, one man guided the team to a historic victory.”
