8 Popular Sci-Fi Movies With Wild Imagination: Ra-One, Interstellar, Avatar and More

When it comes to popular sci-fi movies, the first thing that rings in my mind is how even the creators think of the plot. How creative are they? Definitely, after years and years of VFX evolution, the human mind’s greatest visions are coming on-screen, and some are extremely mindblowing.

It is while watching these sorts of crazy and creative science fiction movies I recount the scientific data that proves that the human mind can’t perceive new images unless they’ve seen them before. So does this mean the fiction movies we’re watching aren’t just the imagination of the story writer, but there are chances of them having witnessed it somewhere sometime? Chills, literal chills.

Now that I have confused myself and made you question it as well let’s dig into some of the best sci-fi flicks of all time which will fascinate and make one fear.

8 Fantastic and Popular Sci-Fi Movies

Interstellar – 2014

Christopher Nolan is a genius for directing Interstellar with intrinsic details about space and, most importantly, the black hole. Scientists gave out the first-ever picture of a black hole in the year 2017, but Nolan’s movie presented an accurate representation of what a black hole would look and process like. To date, the movie is one of the greatest inventions helping viewers to witness space at its best.

Avatar – 2009

Coming right after the previous film, director James Cameron is another prodigy whose creativity is out of the box. Never did the world expect blue-coloured human-like aliens to become the talk of the town for almost a decade or even more. Avatar is another movie that will go down in history for the new experience it gave the viewers. A whole new civilisation with tall, beautiful blue creatures swarming to protect their land, are we sure that this is just a movie but not an accurate representation of an existing alien culture?

24 – 2016

The Tamil movie 24 narrates the story of a scientist inventing a time travelling watch that is being preyed on by his evil twin. Years pass by, and now it’s in the possession of the scientist’s son. How far will his uncle go to get the watch even if his nephew’s life will be put at stake? Honestly, this movie is Kollywood’s pride that didn’t get celebrated much but deserves all recognition.

Ra.One – 2011

From visuals, action scenes, and romance to music, Ra.One is an all-in-one sci-fi movie starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles. When characters from a game break the thin line between reality and imagination, the good has to stop the evil or else reality will crumble. This brilliant movie won’t fail to impress one, we truly say.

Matrix – 1999

Yes, that’s right, we’re talking about the 1999 film that makes the 90s kids feel the rush back to nostalgic memories. Starring Keanu Reeves, the Matrix series is undeniably the world’s favourite sci-fi franchise created by The Wachowskis.

Predator – 1987

Arnold Schwarzenegger is a frondeur for acting on point in a sci-fi movie that made the viewers panic. When a crew sets out to save people from Central America they learn about an extraterrestrial body that kills gruesomely and preys on every visitor. But can it win over Arnold? Of course not.

Men in Black – 1997

Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones didn’t come to play around because they brilliantly executed their roles that after years when other casts were chosen to play as the “men” who kill monsters, it just never worked out. The humour, the action, the dialogue, and the cinematography – exquisite!

Dune – 2020

The recent movie Dune starring Timothee Chalemet and Zendaya follows the story of Arrakis landing on a dangerous planet after the bad guys killed his father. If you’ve wondered whether there is life on other planets then this movie is a great escape to broaden your imagination.
