The Office Halloween Episodes That Will Haunt Your Funny Bone

Halloween Season 2, Episode 5

In the second season of the series, the staff celebrates the festival by wearing different costumes. However, Michael Scott, the manager of the Scranton branch, was put in a difficult position by his boss Jan. She asked him to fire an employee by the end of the day. The task made Michael extremely stressed, which led him to make some bad decisions. The situation escalated, leading to some hilariously awkward moments. Your skin will crawl with the absurdity of the situation and manage to bring out a few laughs!

Employee Transfer – Season 5, Episode 6

The story progressed a lot till Season 5, and Pam moved away from Scranton to pursue her art degree. While attending school, she was also working at the Dunder Mifflin New York branch and followed the tradition of dressing up for Halloween. To her dismay, she was the only one dressed up, and everyone else was in their usual clothes. This incident turned out to be extremely funny because she dressed up as Charlie Chaplin and painted a moustache on her face, but when she removed her hat, she looked like she was cosplaying Hitler, so she was stuck with the costume.

Meanwhile, back in Scranton, everyone was dressed up as their favourite characters (including multiple Jokers!), except for Jim, played by John Krasinski, because he hated dressing up. The shenanigans in the office make up for a delightful episode.

Koi PondSeason 6, Episode 8

If you have watched the episode before, you might remember it involving a Koi Pond incident involving Michael, where he accidentally fell inside. However, during its initial premiere, the episode included a sequence where the employees built a haunted house for the children in the area. It had a lot of funny moments, including Dwight appearing in the Jigsaw costume from the movie Saw and Jim writing ‘Book’ on his face representing Facebook. Unfortunately, the scene was cut off from the episode because of a scene involving suicide that didn’t sit well with fans at the time.

Costume Contest – Season 7, Episode 6

This episode truly captures the essence of Halloween with an old-fashioned costume contest. Moreover, it is the last Halloween episode featuring Steve Carell as Michael before he left the show. All the employees came dressed up as intelligently as they could for a gift prize of a coupon book with $15,000 in savings. Many of the staff changed into other clothes during the day as the competition became quite fierce. Some of the costumes included Lady Gaga, Sookie Stackhouse, the Scranton Strangler, and Michael Moore.

Spooked – Season 8, Episode 5

In this episode, Erin is given the responsibility to organise a Halloween party to impress the new boss. However, things start to get complicated, which leaves a lot of people with mixed feelings. But the episode is filled with hilarious titbits between the employees, which will leave you laughing for days. From Dwight’s over-the-top costume to an extreme visual representation of horror, the episode is perfect for a Halloween night binge.

Here Comes Treble – Season 9, Episode 5

The episode opens with the usual introduction with an elaborate funny scene. This time Dwight, played by Rainn Wilson, carves a pumpkin and puts his head inside it to scare Erin. However, the prank goes terribly wrong when his head gets stuck inside the pumpkin. He tries everything to remove it but finds no solution for his problem. His daily life while wearing the pumpkin is shown, which is one of the funniest scenes of the episode. Moreover, he starts to regret his decision when he realises that the pumpkin will eventually rot and fall off his head, which is a very positive thought process, although hilarious to the audience.
