The folate and Iron in it aid the supply of oxygen to the hair which helps prevent hair fall.

There is evidence that suggests spinach has the ability to reduce stress since it is rich in Zinc and Magnesium. These enable the body to relax and help by making it easier to sleep at night. Vitamin K helps in the formation of sphingolipids which promotes brain health by slowing down the cognitive decline that occurs over time. Spinach helps in the smooth functioning of a person’s brain and keeps it sharp in old age.

The vitamin K in spinach helps in keeping bones healthy by promoting the formation of osteocalcin. Osteocalcin is a protein that maintains the density and strength of bones. The calcium content in spinach is good for the bones as it prevents osteoporosis and prevents the bones from getting damaged. Spinach is also very good for the building of muscles and aids in collagen growth.

Spinach is really good for boosting immunity and does so by strengthening the body. Vitamin A in spinach protects the respiratory, urinary, mucous and intestinal tracts and is a component of the white blood cell that fights infection. It also helps widen blood vessels, promote blood flow and lower blood sugar levels.

The green leaf is also said to help tremendously when it comes to weight loss. It is low calorie and has high fibre content that aids in digestion and prevents constipation. The high iron content combined with the fewer calories makes Spinach a very good medicine in the prevention of anaemia.
